All it means is that CSC has received your case. Most CSC transfers get the email shortly after their transfer (although it took a month and a half for us to get it and has for some others), just letting you know it made it there. Pending means exactly what pending means....it's sitting there waiting to be worked on.

That's why I said most get the email since I've heard of a few that didn't (and ours took a lot longer than normal to come). I think that they just don't always remember to send the email, who knows. When I tried to call and find out why I hadn't gotten the email I got no help from the infoline :P

Just curious, what cases have you personally heard of where a CSC transfer still has an interview? The only thing I've ever seen (maybe twice?) is that someone was transferred to CSC but then got transfered back to their local office and had an interview, making it seem that the CSC transfer was a mistake, making the case not really a CSC transfer with an interview.

In my opinion its very good news if you are transferred to CSC. I was and others I know, and my AOS has been approved. I filed for AOS on December 31 2006, received a letter January 16 2007 saying my case had been transferred to CSC, then received a letter a couple of days later saying my biometrics were late January 2007. We are now at 13 February, and I received my approval a few days ago. I think CSC processing is much faster and I wish you all the best of luck.

Thank you everyone for your replies. My fears have calmed a little now. Glad to hear that it's a good sign. Wish you all the best as well.
