is it OK to bring reviewer books and transcript to US

I'm planning on bringing some of my reviewer books and also my Transcript of records of my school as i fly to US. Will this cause a problem bringing these stuff in my luggage? Anyone who have gone this experience

Dec 11, 2014 - NOA1: Not sure what to put here, Dec 11, 2014, Dec 24, 2014 or something in between.

Dec 24, 2014 - NOA2: I called USCIS @ USEM on Jan 5, 2015 and was told the I-130 was approved on Christmas Eve. Thank you Santa!

Jan 13, 2015 - MNL Case Number & Packet 3 Received via email (I emailed the IV Unit-Manila requesting these on Jan 5, 2015 and Jan 12, 2015)

Jan 21, 2015 - NOA2: Mailed (via PhilPost!) paper/hard copy delivered to our place here in Manila.

Jan 22, 2015 - Packet 3: Mailed (again via PhilPost!) paper/hard copy delivered to out place here in Manila.

Feb 24 & 25, 2015 - Day 1 & Day 2 of Medical @ SLEC. Immunizations given on Day 2, thankfully

Mar 5, 2015 - USEM Interview Appointment - IR-1 Visa Approved! (CEAC Status updated to ISSUED afternoon of interview day)

Mar 10, 2015 - 3pm - Received SMS saying IV Package ready for pickup at 2GO MoA. Picked up at 5pm. (Shipped/Picked Up/In Hand on 3rd Business Day post interview)

Mar 13, 2015 - CFO Manila - Done

Now disposing/selling/giving away/shipping to the US stuff from 14 years in the PHL and 4 years together before heading to POE.

Hi there :) I brought my TOR of my school when I went here in the US in my luggage without any problems. The reviewer books must be the original one and not printed or photocopied. I believe US is strict in copyright infringement and it's too risky to bring any printed/photocopied materials. If your reviewer books are original, you can also put it in your luggage, I bought some of my reviewer books as well :) God Bless

Of course! I worked for airline and have good friends at immig and customs. In fact, am talking to my friend at immig now and asked him this. Books are fine. Am assuming you are a Nx? Good luck on Nclex. :-).

You should be okay with your TOR and original reviewers.

I only asked in my previous post because I know people (colleagues and med school classmates) who were on their way to the US to take the USMLE bringing along bound photocopies of Kaplan and other USMLE review books and had them seized at the POE for having materials that were violating international copyright.

Mind you others I know have been able to get them through, everyone who had their materials seized lost the "Customs Lottery" at POE and were picked for secondary screening.

Same here, I have some med school classmates who did that and their usmle books were confiscated and they were reprimanded. That's why I left most of my usmle reviewers which are photocopied back home.

Thank you manilaraf! Its good to know others experience to avoid such thing as that.. now i won't hesitate to bring them with me. Thank you. :)

Keep your TOR with you and not in your luggage unless your luggage is going to be "carry on"
