I129F - letter describing personal meeting/relationship

PartB Section 18 of I-129F requires to describe the cirsumstances of personal meeting.

What exactly is needed here? Is is only a general brief essay on how you met, where you met etc?

Any pointers would be helpful and much appreciated please !

Best advice I can give is honesty.

We wrote on a separate sheet about 2 paragraphs explaing how we met, where we met (specific names of places or online), and how we started up a relationship stating the dates, sucgh as when we moved in together, when we moved to the UK together etc.

We were "lovey dovey" just stated simple fact. Thats all you need to do

"We met in a restaurant while I was on vacation in Germany in August 2005."

All I wrote was "I met my fiancee in person in Ivanovo, Russia in November 2005." and that worked fine!

Some people write only a couple of sentences, while others write a page. Ours was a page in timeline format. We used it in part to help bring together all the items we used as evidence of having met.

Short or long probably depends on how many times you've met. If can describe your meeting (when and where) and the development of your relationship (when the relationship began, when you got engaged) in a sentence or two, maybe that's all you need.

Whatever the length, stick to the facts. They don't need all the mushy stuff.

Brief in particular! They don't really care about all the special feelings you have and that sorta stuff, they want to know how you first got to know each other and when you first met in person. Give them places and dates.

I believe i spoke of a day(s) then that was also in reference to one of the pictures i was sending it was just a short outline, seems some do very short, some more.

I wrote a couple paragraphs because I gave dates and places and we met while I was living in his country. I briefly mentioned the following trips when I returned to Brazil.

I left out all of the lovey dovey stuff

I've been panicking about this very thing, because I only wrote about three sentences, describing how we were introduced, our correspondence and then when I traveled to Jamaica and met him in person. So glad to hear that I didn't necessarily have to write paragraphs. I was trying to be as simple as possible.
