I did send in the same letter to the Chicago lockbox and the NBC in MO, both were delivered many weeks ago, but the online case status appears as if it were still active. I also made an infopass appt and delivered a copy of the same letter.

The online system may never change and always appear in the same vegetative status. (not 100 sure but I believe depending on the VAWA she submits, since there was a 485 in that packet it can be used and she wouldnt have to refill it out- hence the vegetative state.) But remember what you see online only reflects the AOS based on your marriage (nothing to do with any potential VAWA) so you can watch it if you are so inclined. If it changes to interview or card processed- well they didnt get your letter- but thats a whole other head pounding against the wall issue.

But anyway, it can take a while to get back a notification about the withdrawal- if requested. So I would say just hang in there and wait for it. Maybe decide to check on the first of the month each month on your calendar- or when you pay a particular bill so you dont obsess about it. If notification of your withdrawal hasnt come by that date- then check on line, and decide if you want to resend another letter or what course of action.

As for fighting the VAWA path she may try, I do not have the time or irrefutable proof of her intentions. This as a whole is weighing me down. Although I know that I am not perfect or free of committing mistakes, but did my best to make it work, and should be positive, knowing I am not what she is accusing me again of, what she is doing to me, to stay in our country is uncalled for, but out of my hands and ignored by our government.

Theres nothing wrong with letting it go. Fighting when you feel you have nothing backing you up? Yeah, everyone gets that. Im just sort of torn because you dont sound very at peace- more like defeated. So I will just say you can not complain things are ignored if you are not speaking. You dont need to launch an aggressive campaign- but submitting something; anything- even a whisper is something. Alerting them to a previously dropped restraining order and the positive outcome of your court case and letting them assess it- well then it is what it is. She certainly is not going to alert them of such- so how will they make an informed decision with out all the facts. No need to write a long letter or gather proofs. Just a reference to the case on a plain old sheet of paper and they will dig up the details if its a court proceeding. (just my opinion)

As for the rest of your post. Evil happens. Not really the bumper sticker slogan I would like to post-thats not allowed- but eh. People screw each other in relationships all the time. Okay that came out wrong. People screw each other OVER in relationships all the time. citizens, aliens, tourists- people can suck in the way they treat each other.
