Hello all,

I will be filling out my I-134 for my finace while I'm over here in the UK with him. I know if you are in the states it needs to be notarized, and if you are in the UK it says it must be sworn to or notice affirmed before a US consular or immigration officer, but I'm a little confused. Does this need to be done before the interview (I will be attending the interview with my fiance in London)? Or is that the point in which I will swear to it?

I-134 needs to be presented at the Interview and should be completed and notarized BEFORE the Interview.

Thank you for your reply, but maybe I wasn't clear. I'm here in the UK, so it won't be notarized at all as that is only an option for those currently in the US.

I've just e-mailed the consulate in hopes that they can inform me on whether to make a seperate appointment to have it sworn to.

Kinsey - I understand why you are asking.

I'd suggest emailing the consulate and asking them if they will do this for you on that day. My guess is they will as long as you sign it in their presence. You of course would prepare it in advance.

Thank you, for a second I thought I wasn't making any sense.

It's all filled out, of course, but because we are in Doncaster, I'm hoping they will allow me to sign to it the day of the interview, saving us travel time, days off of work, money, etc. *fingers crossed*
