Permit holders are more responsible than the majority of folks out in public . This man showed a great deal of restraint did he not ?

A conclusion about society at large based on a single, arbitrary example proves very little. Not saying the opinion is correct or incorrect, just that your reasoning is massively flawed.

That would be the understatement of the week.

You mean that when you take a subset of the population that has met certain requirements in terms of their lawful behavior you would find that that subset is less likely to get into trouble with the law than the population as a whole? Really? I would have never guessed.

No sarcasm needed. What you said is true. If you filter out people with criminal tendencies or pasts you get people that are less likely to be criminals.

Its what the FBI, CIA, Police do. I'm guessing most people given the news of late WON'T be surprised to find that CCW holders generally have more favorable safety statistics than the police as well.

Let's not give credence to the OP's dubious rationale.

Not really. You'd once again be comparing apples and oranges.

Pretty sure that is racist.

Apparently. Shooting a father in front of his child over a minor argument apparently counts as restraint, too. Or shooting a guy in a movie theater for texting. Or a kid at a gas station for loud music. All fatal shootings carried out by concealed carry permit holders. You know, those people with a lot of restraint. Gun nuts show restraint. What a laughable claim...

All fatal shootings by CHP holders? What a load of bollocks. You have pulled that figure out of your bum.

Yes, there are some real idiots with guns, but the decent owners who've gone to get the necessary training and are responsible make up the vast majority. How many people stab, beat, drive over people to death each year? Nah we're not bothered by that.

How about the majority of killings carried out with stolen guns by gang members who can't lawfully possess them? Yeah, let's ignore those.

Please don't generalise and make sweeping statement as you don't know what you're talking about. If you don't like guns, fine but don't restrict my ability to have one. Also, someone who doesn't like guns is REALLY not going to like them if they get shot.

It's funny how this mindset is only reserved for gun owners.

It wasn't a figure, he was naming actual incidents that took place with people who had concealed carry permits.
