Because Dr. Carson knows how to whip up the base. It's like Karee used to say. You have to pander to the extremists in the party to get your foot in the door, only to have it slammed in your face once you get to the big event since a large majority don't hold the same views. He won't get the nomination sadly enough, but I have to give him props for trying.

I think he wouldn't be such a bad choice. But as of late, he's been drinking the extremist's koolaide so he won't get my vote.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but not all black people think alike. I voted for Mccain the first time around. Looking back in hindsight, I'm glad he didn't win, being that Sarah Palin would have been our VP :crying:

I agree. He's a neurosurgeon, and an accomplished one at that. But he's too eager to appeal to the right wing extremists. Once the rest of the group get up and start running, I fear that Dr. Carson will get left in the dust.
