I'm posting this for anyone else that will likely run into a similar situation. My fiancee had a medical examination done by a panel physician for the K-1 Visa process. They did not give her any vaccinations/immunizations and told her to get them done once she was in the United States. Well, she arrived here last week and I ran into the same problem as many of you have - all of the civil surgeon offices claimed they had to do a complete medical examination again and they couldn't simply fill out Page 1 and the Vaccination Supplement.

Realize you're talking with the receptionist who probably doesn't know everything regarding the immigration process, especially the K-1 visa process. So what I did was simply scheduled an appointment for my fiancee as if it were an "immigration medical examination" but I printed off a copy of the I-864 instructions, I-485 instructions and a copy of the Part 1245 (Code of Federal Regulation), and highlighted specifically where it states that it's not required (for K-1 visas if it was already completed within the past year). I also made copies of all of her medical records from her medical examination for the K-1 visa.

Once we got to the appointment and were being seen by the nurse, I explained everything to her and handed over all the paperwork. She gave it to the doctor who then agreed that all we needed was Page 1 and the Vaccination Supplement. He wrote a prescription for two vaccinations that were needed, we went across the street to a pharmacy to get them done and came back to the doctor's office. He then filled out the I-683 (actually filled out the whole thing using the data from the previous medical examination), made copies of her medical records and placed them in a sealed envelope for us to send to the USCIS with our application. It ended up costing $80 (which is still high for simply transcribing medical records) but a lot better than the $300+ for the full exam.

Anyways, just another option if you're having issues getting just the vaccination supplement filled out. Here's a link to the CFR:

That's a very GOOD info! It wasn't my case but I saw tons of post from people complaining about paying $280 again for a full medical examination when they already had it back in their homecountries. My now husband filed for my k1 visa back in 2011 but after reading a case like this, I insisted my civil surgeon to give me all the vaccines I needed it.

Now I'm curious about something: I bet things has change a lot since 2011 but when my civil surgeon gave me my medical results, it was in a sealed enveloped. Then I gave this results (still sealed) at the moment of my interview. I never had the chance to read them or get a copy. How did you do to have a copy of your fiance's medical results?
