36. Has Anyone Ever Filed an Immigrant Visa Petition on Your Behalf?

I know the example form says to state "No" but I just wasn't sure. Doesn't the petition I just filed qualify? Normally it will say, "Has anyone ever filed an immigrant visa petition on your behalf before?" Meaning before this one.

I suppose if everyone else put "no" and didn't have a problem, then I shall do the same, I just wanted to reassurance.

We leave England for a stateside Christmas December 17, 2006

Karl goes back to the UK January 7, 2007

I make a scene at the airport January 7, 2007

I head back to the UK to wait it out with him February 9, 2007

It's a poorly worded question. It refers to a prior petition, not the current one.

Waiver approved after 10 months. Did NOT use a lawyer

Yes it refers to prior cases, also note a K-1 visa is technically not an immigrant visa, it is a non-immigrant visa.

The K-1 is not an immigrant visa. It is a non-immigrant visa, but is processed by the immigrant visa unit.

Poorly worded indeed; and that's where the confusion set in. I was just trying to find out if they actually classify it as non-immigrant or immigrant as well.
