Your question has been answered as someone else, who is the OP of this thread, asked a very similar question. I opinined with the answer and the answer applies to your case. It's kind of a algebric answer where If this is true then you do this. Here I will point you back to the may original answer. BTW, it would help you to read the entire post before asking your question as the answer has already been provided.

Hi. My mom has a debt with an internet provider. It's under her name but the contact details are mine such as mobile number, email address. The bill has gone through the roof that is why we weren't able to catch up and pay it. 

the bill is still ongoing and they said they can only terminate the accnt once we paid the balance. What's the worst thing that can happen to my mom and me if we don't pay it? 
Will it affect her/my NBI clearance?

If there is a lawsuit against you or you have had one but you did not show up then yes, it will affect your clearance and you will not be able to leave the country till you make restitution and have a clear NBI.

Who ever owes the debt is responsible and it will affect them if they are processing a visa. with just contact information you have no legal obligation to pay her bills. So your NBI should be clear.

Good day. My sister has a pending case from an online cash loan, will it still affect if she will get an NBI?
