Some advice please

I am in the process of filing for a K-1 visa for my fiancee who lives in Peru, I will be mailing everything out on Tuesday. I would love it if I would be able to go to Peru for the next 6 months while we wait for the visa to come through, so my question is this, is there any way that anyone else has tried to make money in Peru, as a US citizen that doesn't know much Spanish? And also is it really a good idea for me to try to be there while I wait, because if I go there and work then I won't have any insurance or any good income in the US so it will be hard for me to show good support on the affidavit of support form when the time comes to fill that out. Also we would have the headache of finding a place to live and finding another job before moving back to the US. So if anyone has any advice I would like to hear your opinions thanks

The very first thing you must do is to check to see if you CAN work. Most countries have restrictions on visitors working -- just like the US does. So, check the legalities first before you worry about insurance and other things.

You might have answered your own query.

Instead of moving, why not vacation for as long as you can, in one or two doses?

This will build excellent further "evidence of bona fide relationship" for the visa interview.

Meanwhile, save up money for travel, eventual AOS expenses, etc.
