3 weeks post RFE and nothing... Reason to start drinking heavily?

Hello,

Ugh, what a hideous process...

Submitted RFE (for IMB issue- to prove that the dating site we met on is not IMB) 3 weeks ago. Received in CSC march 23. And big fat nothing...

Seeing that RFEs get approved within 2 weeks, should I start thinking that something is terribly wrong?

Is it possible for them to have additional issues? Rfe was trivial and I sent a detailed letter and print outs from the web explaining everything.

Anybody has experience with a happy end after an extended RFE processing time?

I am thinking- if they didn't like my reply, wouldn't they finish with it already?

Very very stressed.

We forgot to send one of the letters of intent (it was left in the copy machine). I thought it would be only a day or two after they got that to finish our approval. They only have to check a box or something, right? But it did take them at least a full week or more. So, yeah, it can take longer than it seems it should. If you sent what they asked for, hopefully everything will be fine when they finally get to it!

The wait is only part of a problem. After reading about all the craziness and unpredictability of USCIS, I am starting to get worried that something else is going on (like lost documents), and knowing how ambiguous they are, I am afraid that they are just wasting time:(

Anybody has any experience with problems AFTER RFE?

It's probably nothing to worry about. Sometimes things take longer than others.

Vj represents probably 5% of the applications they receive.

They have a lot to go through and we all know how back logged and understaffed they are...

Your approval will come. Just make sure you have everything read to send to your fiancé when it does.

Seeing as you waited 41 days to get an rfe and a ton of us at TSC have been waiting or will have waited over 200 days for an rfe or approval.... I would say no.

There are worse things. I'm at 145 days. Think before you make such a silly post advocating self harm because you have to wait a little bit longer for a response.

If your tracking number starts with WAC, you're at the CSC, you were not transferred! There are no transfers at this time. If your number starts with SRC you're at the TSC and that's where you will serve your entire sentence.USCIS isn't fair.

Thank you for an insightful, deep, helpful, and ON TOPIC answer to my question.

FYI, I haven't seen my fiance in 8 month, and since we are not exactly following any logic here, add this period to your calculation to make yourself feel better.

I only hope that in real life you don't usually compare apples to oranges and actually answer question vs spilling your bitterness and bad moods.

Have a nice day
