Post for Feb/Early March NOA2 which haven't been received by NVC

It's all well and good saying you'd trade places with me but who knows how long I've got left lol. You could say whatever with using so many 'quotation marks'. Where I supposed to hasn't got everything to do with timetables. I literally mean it shouldn't take months to send something in the post.

Yes I know I didn't have to wait months and months to get approved, however I'm still frustrated with the way my case is being handled. And if you check my signature you can see I'm not a few weeks beyond NVC stage, I haven't even reached their yet. My petition is still in CSC, and from what I've heard from uscis there will still be another month before they even bring to look for it. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions and mine is, this is ridiculous.

I think it's ridiculous the way CSC, TSC and NVC play with people lives.

So yes, I may have been approved in 24 days, right now as I'm still in CSC almost 40 days later that doesn't really mean anything at the moment. 2 days, 10 days, 40 days, regardless it's still time away from your loved one!

I get that you're frustrated with how your case is being handled and I'm not telling you not to be. Literally every single person on this forum is, but to varying degrees and for different reasons. To me, I think of everything after NOA2 and before Consulate receipt to be "NVC stage", at least in terms of the waiting for the next checkbox in the timeline. If you're done with NOA2, to me, you're in the NVC part of things--steps 3, 4 and 5 are NVC in my mind (waiting for it to be sent, waiting for approval from there etc).

These are the steps and the timelines I'm referring to, and thought that you were referring to when you said "supposed to": http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1historical. That is an average between TSC and CSC filers. We don't have that data broken down anywhere, so you can only tell from anecdotes and looking around. From observation, it seems that TSC filers are getting through NVC fairly quickly and CSC filers are pushing the 6-8 week mark.

So I get that you're not even at NVC yet, and as I explained, this has been happening for months now. The theory is (or at least was) that CSC sends approved petitions to NVC in batches, maybe only once per month. Either because that's just how they do things or they're trying to even things out with TSC a little bit, who knows. .

Why would they do this? Imagine two people approved on April 1 by both CSC and TSC, if they both send right away, then the TSC and CSC folks are all mixed up in the same line at NVC which means that the April 1 CSC person could get through faster than the April 1 TSC person, who has on average, filed 27 weeks before the CSC person did. USCIS has known about the serious time discrepancy between the service centers for months, if not years, and have always claimed that they're taking steps to address it. Perhaps one of the steps was to hold back approved CSC petitions from NVC for a few while to create enough lag time so that the TSC folks get through relatively smoothly? That is pretty much the level of logic that USCIS uses, and wouldn't surprise me, at least, in the slightest. If they can't control the speed of adjudication, they can at least try to force a bit of control over our placement in line at NVC. Again, all theories and rumors. Literally no one knows.

I do still honestly think that I'd happily trade places with anyone who has an NOA2, (and doubt that anyone with one would say the same in reverse--have yet to hear from someone who wished they were waiting in line at TSC). I would happily pay money to have my NOA2 already, even not knowing how long the NVC backup is, because it's pretty much guaranteed to not be a 6 month backup that the rest of my likely wait time is, but to each their own. You don't need to criticize the writing style of someone who is legitimately trying to help and to answer your question. I use a lot of quotes here because everyone jumps down your throat if you say anything with authority that's not hedged to death, and because I was specifically quoting your "supposed to". There is no such thing as "supposed to" in this process.

OP - I understand your frustration YES although you haven't been waiting 100+ like a lot of TSC filers have it is still frustrating as people who got their NOA2 around same time as you have their interview scheduled! I suggest your fiance to call them in a few days time, I have noticed the more you bug them with calls the more they chase up your case rather than let it to sleep!! Good thing is atleast your case isn't lost somewhere!

Yes, exactly! Just tryna get through so I can be with my fiancé. This is a place to help and be helped, so negativity isn't really called for.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't trying to criticise in anyway. I was just saying, I would've got what you meant with or without. Not meaning/intending to come across in a bad way. Things can always be misconstrued via text/emails and so on. So just so you know I wasn't trying to criticise. I try not to look at that because for all I know, we could be only 10% of all petitions as not everybody who petitions is a member of VJ (tbh I think it should be a prerequisite for filing a petition lol)

You are somewhat right with things. I know for a fact that NVC do that, well at least with cases going to London! They hold them back till there is a certain amount abs then they send it off! That makes 100% sense with me. Obviously they're shipping to another country, not a domestic shipment so would make sense to do that. Just wouldn't make sense for a domestic shipment. If it's there and done, send it. I bet if they hired people who have been through this process things would be a hell of a lot different lol!

The theory is that CSC holds onto things for a few weeks and ships in batches to give TSC filers a head start at NVC because they've already been delayed so long. This isn't my theory, this has been kicked around for at least as long as I've been on the boards. I looked at Igor's list and I can't find anyone from CSC with your NOA date or after that has been shipped to NVC

Sorry CatherineA but there are actually few people that has had their case numbers assigned including their interview scheduled. I am few days behind the OP and I have my case number from NVC.

Sorry, my browser hiccuped before I could finish and it pressed enter. The Yanirose linked had their NOA2 on Feb 27. HoweetestD got hers on March 6. If they do only send once per month or whatever, what happens if they sent their last shipment on March 5? She missed it and is therefore waiting. With my quick look, I couldn't find any non-Filipino CSC petition on this list (http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=1&option=1&sortby=2) with a NOA2 date of 3/6 or after who is at NVC.

When it comes to taking next steps, it doesn't matter what any of your previous dates were, only the one you're moving off from. Otherwise, everyone stuck at TSC with NOA1 dates in August would have had their interviews scheduled before the person you linked, you know?

[Edit: didn't understand you at first--Ah, I see, your Yani's own petition. Who knows? All I'm saying is the theory that was being kicked around by now long-gone CSC filers over the past few months. Who knows what they do? ]

I'll add myself to this forum too. I think CSC does send them in batches, but we can't carve out any kind of pattern or day they are sent. I think TSC also updates when they send the petition and some people were thinking that CSC skips this step, so who knows.

Calling USCIS today didn't help me. I will wait to take more action until the 24th, if I can be that patient. I don't mind waiting, as long as I knew that CSC was not going to mis-route my petition!

This is what I've been saying to my fiance about the situation. As long as I know what's going on, I wouldn't be so stressed! If I knew it would take this long then I would be prepared for the wait. Considering I'm seeing people from CSC take only a handful of days to get to the NVC is kinda like, hmmmm, where's the consistency?

My fiance is waiting for a call back from USCIS as the wait was so long to get to somebody on tier 2. I'll post as soon as I get any info from him as to what they say.

Howeetest D - There may be some hope. You may have seen this thread? Two people that were approved in March don't have their NVC case number yet, but they were told by NVC that they are in 'pre-sort'?

Just an update about my impatience: I called NVC today and they have not yet received my case. I think I will try to call back on the first week of May, and if nothing then, will send an email to the NVC inquiry email. It'll get there....

As it's only been 14 days, don't panic just yet. I'm thinking that it might be there by Friday. If it's not . . . Then, yes lol. Start to wonder where it is. Hopefully will be there soon!!!!

My fiance just got off the phone with USCIS and they told him the petition was sent on the 15th April. So fingers Crossed we get our case number within the next two weeks

I think because we put in the service request! When he calls he seems to be lucky (the majority of the time) with the people he speaks to.

Or maybe they just don't like my English accent lol.
