Hi all,

For some good news, me and my wife just bought a brand new house. Being constructed right now and will be ready for move in June for closing. I'm a US citizen and my wife's two years here with her conditional resident card are almost up. We will be applying for her removal of conditions form (I-751) by end of this month. I guess I'm being too picky, but I'm trying to minimize any issues coming from our address change. We will be moving into our new house while her new green card processes (supposedly takes a year). The form I-751, has a current address and mailing address section, I know that many people get a PO Box address created in situations like this since they know they will be moving. Should I get a PO Box address created where we can get our mail delivered and not have to worry about the mail going to our apartment after we move into our house?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

A PO box is OK, in fact it is a good idea to avoid having correspondence going to your old address. USCIS is notorious for not getting address changes correct in the system.

Dont forget to file AR-11, and I-865 forms after moving though.

Ok last question, are the PO Box addresses very reliable - if I get that as a mailing address?

They are more reliable than a mail box at the home, that is why many businesses use them instead of having mail delivered to their office. Edited by YuAndDan
