The k-1 is a tad bit quicker then the k-3, so they say. You can download the forms for free. Good luck!

Oh sorry one more. Ok so I go for K3. (hoping for a work permit quick when we get approved in JFK). Her mom must sposer me because shes a starving student . lol. What forms will I need for this process? how do I start that? (if thats what we are supposed to do).

You can download the forms for free generally, but you probably want to get it directly from the USCIS site. The forms do expire, the USCIS site will have the most current edition. Sending an old form in may delay your processing. Go here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis.

first you'll have to decide - get married in USA first submit K-1 fiance petition.

or get married in Canada - submit K-3 spouse.

your fiance in NY will be the one to submit the petition.

on sponsor, couldn't understand what you were asking.

whatever you decide, may I suggest you and your fiance :guides:

Ok maybe I have been mislead. I thought i understood that someone marrying you who does not file taxes in the usa. ( my fiance being a unemployed student at the moment but is a usa citizen) would have to have an alternate sponsor for you to get down there (someone such as her mother). Being an I- 134 form.

the petitioner would then need a co-sponsor. that will be needed when submitted for the interview.
