Hi guys,

I moved to LA end of 2014 and got married, sent everything for the AOS, got confirmation it had been received, etc, etc... But completely forgot to apply for a SSN... and now my I-94 is expired.

When can I apply for a SSN then? I don't necessarily feel like I need a SSN now, as I can't work before my EAD anyway, but I just want to make sure I'm doing everything the way I should.

Thank you so much for your help,

Lucie

When you get EAD, you are eligible to get a SSN, not as a K1, but under your new status of work authorized.
