I guess I have trouble understanding people who insist on perpetuating the cycle of poverty. It is relatively easy in the developed world to plan an appropriate number of children and at appropriate times. Between the internet and family planning Medicaid, they should be able to get 'er done.

Well, I don't think it is the cloth diapering and wiping that is so much the problem because it is cheaper and better, but that they can't seem to comprehend or scrimp together just a little bit more to get non ####### detergent.

Well, obvs, we are using cloth wipes. I think what concerned me was not even being able to afford the cheapest of disposable wipes.

LOL, dunno if you heard what James B. Comey said about Holocaust. And about Poles being responsible for it along with the Germans

Must have forgotten that part where the Germans came in and kidnapped Polish children and Poles and other Slavs were on their next list after Jews.

A lot of times people praise Denmark for sneaking away their Jews to Sweden, but they forget that the Nazis basically let them do it and didn't give two ##### what the Danes did. Had they treated Denmark like the Netherlands (who they threw into a famine) or like Poland, there is no way the Danes would have done that.

A lot of times people praise Denmark for sneaking away their Jews to Sweden, but they forget that the Nazis basically let them do it and didn't give two ##### what the Danes did. Had they treated Denmark like the Netherlands (who they threw into a famine) or like Poland, there is no way the Danes would have done that.

Yeah, and the western Europe thinks that the war in Poland looked the same like it looked like in their countries.

They had some freedoms of which Poles could only dream about.

Well, I have a fracture, and on crutches.. I will have a cast put on tomorrow. And to top it all, heavy rain, so chances of slipping higher. I am crawling around my apartment. Shopping is a no go. And Golden Week starts the end of next week.. Really depressing:(

it may seem relatively easy for those of us who are fortunate to be in situations where we can do family planning.

Be careful in those family hotels. Often the state runs out of space in halfway houses, and house the recently released people in those places.

You know, I've gotta say. In my life, I realize that we all have limits to our earning power.

But I also learned that often when we think we can't afford something, then we won't.

I remember the times when I slept on a thin mattress on the floor, eating canned soup. When I bought my first house, it was all dilapidated, I drove a car with 230k miles on it.....

I worried. I didn't want a family. I knew that I couldn't provide a good life. And I didn't like the childhood life that I had. There was no way that I wanted my family to endure what I did. But I also knew, that things will improve for me. So, I waited.

In the end, I did ok. So now, my kids are born to an upper middle-class household, with all the "things" that they need to grow. There's food on the table, clothes on their backs, money for college, etc.....

Now that's me.

Then you look at someone like Gump, and you say "wt# is this ###### guy thinking?"

Well, that's his way. Yes, he's too poor to have 4 mouths to feed, he needs social welfare, his kids have very little, he has to rely on others to help out.

He can't wait around any longer, it's not going to get better for him. And so, he blindly had kids, not knowing what came next.

Now I'm a conservative person. While I'm also critical of this situation. I don't fault the guy for wanting a family. It's just his way. (I fault him for not hustling to make things better for his family).

Then there was my FIL. pis poor in Malaysia in the 90s. With 7 to feed. Tapping rubber and planting bananas. He toiled and toiled, and made it right. And now, he's rich. (By Malaysia standards).

Different people have different ways.
