well because she apparently isn't doing anything during school times and doesn't have many friends right now, (due to him going every second weekend 4 hours away until this last month when his girlfriend moved to their hometown IMHO, plus his work schedule.) But he is blaming me for moving so she doesn't have friends to play with during the summer, so I get 2 weeks this summer instead of the agreed upon 1 month. He wants to take her to newfoundland for a few weeks too. All the classes and tickets for them are already booked so I have NO ###### CHOICE.

IMHO she should move down here. I work better hours to support her in after school activities and while I do not think the schooling is better than her hometown's, at least I would be able to spend more time with her than he can since he works 9-5, 6 days a week. I mentioned it and "that's not going to happen." We'll see you head.. we'll see... I'm going to do everything humanly possible to convince her while she's here that she should be here instead.

This is a much bigger city and the extracurricular activities available out number the ones where she lives about 10 to 1 if not more. He got onto a tangent about how she doesn't play with kids her own age while she's here... well no, jack ###... i was living in an apartment and then spent a month in OKC last year. Neither of which are good for making friends down here, DUH. The other time she was down here it was in August and kids go back to school here in August. I can't do anything about the fact she's in school until end of June and kids here get out end of May. I am also not signing her up for classes here but at least I'm in a house now we and can go to the park, and the pools, and the fun places where she can meet other kids her age. All in all so far this hasn't been my responsibility, it's been his and I think he's failing and blaming me for moving.

I don't remember if you ever had anything in writing for your custody but I think it's time you take him to court. You have been bending over backwards and he is messing you over big time.

His lack of making her get her school work done would also work in your favour.

Oh and if I remember right you never got a custody order of any sorts. So at this point if you get a lawyer when she is in your custody you can see the lawyer can get a temporary agreement for you to keep her.

Canadian lawyer and courts would handle it.

He wanted me to sign over custody and I refused because NO FREAKING WAY!

He's going to say I left him and her, started a new relationship soon after, and then moved away. the problem was I left trying to make it easier on her, even though he eventually offered to leave the house when we weren't working out. But I knew that was only offering that because he wanted me where he could find me and be in control.

I was not the best signifigant other for him. But I think that her lack of friends and lack of social things inside and outside of school means it's time for a change and he doesn't see it that way.

Is all your visiting agreement just verbal? Get a lawyer with no agreement it's hard to make him do anything he doesn't want.

Did you keep all plane tickets and any other proof you kept up with your daughter? Did you document that he refused to pay her ticket to see you when he was supposed too?

I have the copy of the itineraries and the travel consent forms.

Everything is verbal. Even a joint custody agreement was gong to cost us $1000 minimum in lawyer fees.

I pay for all the tickets and everything while she's with me. He pays for all of her stuff while she's with him. I did pay him her last year of middle school, each month, for child care services. 50% so $175/month.

I didn't think that keeping the boarding passes would be necessary.
