Does school ever punish the parents for failing to bring lunch for their kids? Do the parents ever care anyway?

And richie rich parents like Steve will bring all the snacks and drinks for the whole class!

Let someone else takes care of my child instead :)

If I am the child, I will blame my parents for screwing up that I have to go without snacks or drinks.

In fact I would have reminded my parents to prepare lunch for me or I just make my own crappy sandwiches.

In the case of this school, the kids are middle and upper middle class kids. Being in this neighborhood, the school gets less funding by nyc, more funding by the parents and the PTA (there's the asinine progressive lib krapp at work). Nevertheless, the school has lunches for the kids, if the parents would only friggin stop saying that they'll pack the kids lunch, and don't. So the school can provide.

The kids that we're talking about are too young to differentiate reasons. They only know that one kid got this, and they didn't.

For the poorer children, their parents have enough sense to somehow, get them into this school. Ok, we will carry them, though they're stealing an education.

My daughter is in a public school for a reason. She's here to learn, she's here to be a part of the community, she's here to see the different cultures. She can't get that in a private school. And, as a part of the community, my daughter don't mind lending a hand to her friends. She brings 4-5 boxes of raisins to share at lunch, 5-6 cookies, etc....This is something so precious, that the expense should not be spared.

My kids school lunch, I have to pay for, it's not free. About half the kids have to pay also.

I don't like illegal immigrants. But I preach kindness, and selflessness, and understanding to my daughter. I teach her that we're all different, but we're all the same. And I have to stand by what I teach her.

I got the veggies prepped I'm going to give the kiddies a bath. Then get the rest of the food done.

I know I know I should give them a bath after they eat, I normally do it in the morning and if I wait till after supper they just too tired and cranky!

Not so much as noble 8......

I simply have to stand by what I teach my kids....

You wife is also stood by what you teach --> freely giving away your stuff :content:

Heya....8, you ever read "To Kill a mocking bird"?

My daughter reminds me of the character "Scout".....

We studied "To Kill a mocking bird" for English Literature in school.

It is good that your daughter is generous and has empathy/compassion for others.

I believe in "Help those who help themselves", "There is no free lunch in the world"

1- yeah..... But that's different. Some of those people don't need anything......

2- I have to teach my young daughter the difference between generosity, and kindness. It's a fine line between the two.

3- How bout The Green Mile, you ever read or watch it? (Notice it's one of very few Stephen King works that did not take place in Maine).

We studied "To Kill a mocking bird" for English Literature in school.

You studied American Lit in Singrapore?
