Well this must the a record for the slowest this thread has moved. With Caryh, Darnell, both taking a break, and Nola enjoying her new little bundle of joy this thread is in need of a boost.

So T-bone, and Steve need to have another little one so we can talk about that.

Niki needs hmm not sure yet, maybe a puppy to go with the cat :)

How come the parents are so dumb? And their kids are also so dumb not to bring at least water with them?

I always bring water bottle to school no matter what. And I still do now as an adult.

It is kinda enabling the parents not to do anything for their kids since they know other will chip in to help.

Seems like nobody is teaching self-responsibility, accountability in school now

That is pretty much it Merry, the parents expect the schools to do everything.

I think the age group of Steve's daughter many of them are probable still a bit young to think ahead like that. That is a developmental thing and for some they are still not at that point.

we get a slip to sign, to the tune of "Will your child bring own lunch"

Most parents sign yes, but then they don't send the kids with lunch!!

They have their water bottles, but they all leave it in the classroom.

This was a short trip. 2.5 hours.

They're back in the school now, went to the puppet show. They missed lunch hour in school. There's a bunch of PBJs in their classroom, and the stuff that I packed.

I suggested Niki's place, the Color me Mine pottery place for the next trip. I think there's 1 more trip for the year.

, we may have to lift the moratorium on fallopian chat......

oh yeah, the kid likes build a bear, but it's too costly for some parents, as may be Color me Mine......

by my estimates, there's about 25-30% (5-6) economically challenged children in her class.

All I know is, her teacher called me up at 9:40 "where are you?"

I thought the trip was 10 :P

But it was 9:30

Slacker!

Build a bear has the 10.00 bears plus the school can do it as a party and it should be set up so the kids get a bear and outfit fairly cheap. But yes sometimes that is still too much.

In other news the IRS called me from a Payphone :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: Yes and they want their money.

I would only pack my kid lunch.. The rest I could careless if their parents can't be bothered.

Being generous to buy the whole class snack once or twice is fine, but it seems that some parents are taking things for granted already.

Too bad their kids have to pay for their negligence, indifference, careless attitude.

What goes through a child's mind when they see another child's parents bring snacks, drinks, etc....and they don't have any?

Punish the parents, not the kids. :)

and now, super Steve has gotta get to the office....but first, I stop to get VC sandwich.....

Does school ever punish the parents for failing to bring lunch for their kids? Do the parents ever care anyway?
And richie rich parents like Steve will bring all the snacks and drinks for the whole class!

Let someone else takes care of my child instead :)

If I am the child, I will blame my parents for screwing up that I have to go without snacks or drinks.

In fact I would have reminded my parents to prepare lunch for me or I just make my own crappy sandwiches.

Thursday half-report, half-see man:

Got to bed just before Many a.m., truncated zzz man.

Awoke (and awoke family) coughing uncontrollably after not even Many hours' sleep, no zzz man.

Mini-B. thought that this was the beginning of his day, active noisy wee man.

We never got the chance at the 1.Many hours left on the alarm, no zzz man.

Feel awful today, sigh man.

Challenge to make POTSs quota, strain man.

Mapped Saturday GS itinerary, somehow man.

Nice compact geographical area with some subdivision GSs, smorgasbord man.

This presumes that we are not too sick to embark on same, sleepless cough man.

And if Mrs. T-B. is frazzled by Mini-B. (= likely), we shall get no nap this eve, no zzz man.

Mini-B. needs an accessible contemporary playmate, wee man.

However, none is to be found, no man, except for blonde hellion, very bad news man.

We feel too lousy to devise any solutions, sick we man.

Afternoon/evenin', Commie- and other babes with +1 inventories!
