So am I,I got to lay in bed an extra 30 minutes. Was really hoping the little guy would sleep longer but then the Tornado had to pee so she got up.

I had to run around, get some snacks for school trip later......

The other parents never send their kids with drinks and snacks. And there are only 2 parent chaperons. So it leaves a lotta hungry and thirsty kids.

The school, packs lunch for the kids whose parents signed the form that says "I want the school to bring lunch for my kid". But no one ever signs it, so the school brings nothing!

After the first trip, I knew to pack my knapsack full of goodies.

Today I have, a giant box of Nilla cookies, 6 chocolate milks, 12 sunny delights, and 2 tupperwares of ham sandwiches.

I didn't consider the muslim kids. I'm not burger king.....They can have nilla cookies.

I think that is pretty great.

I know when I used to send my kids I usually only had enough for them. But they would still share because someone was always worse off.

Their schools don't supply foods like the school lunch programs. I got good at buying in bulk and stalking up in the summer

But for some trips they would let parents know if they were stopping somewhere to eat, so if we wanted to send money we could. Those days use to kill me if it was the 4 kids, but I always figured it out.

I agree with you though about not going completely crazy trying to accommodate every one. If you tried someone would always have something they object to. Plus you are doing this for your daughter and her friends not the parents or school.

How come the parents are so dumb? And their kids are also so dumb not to bring at least water with them?

I always bring water bottle to school no matter what. And I still do now as an adult.

It is kinda enabling the parents not to do anything for their kids since they know other will chip in to help.

Seems like nobody is teaching self-responsibility, accountability in school now

That is pretty much it Merry, the parents expect the schools to do everything.

I think the age group of Steve's daughter many of them are probably still a bit young to think ahead like that. That is a developmental thing and for some they are still not at that point.
