OMG Tbone that is so wrong smiley-sick006.gif

Nothing has killed us yet, no D ma'am, except full-price, $i man.

Stupid tires are stupid expensive!

Spell them Britishly, as "tyres," and you'll feel better about the prices, Niki-B. ma'am.

Tarklar gets them at garage sales.....

We found our last tyres at an independent shop for far cheaper than the chain places, whee man. As soon as current tyres on the T-B.-mobile and Mrs.-T-B.-mobile wear out, will beeline back there, glee man.

WCG (World's Cheapest Gringo) buys his tyres from Mexican roadside/flea-market vendors -- we kid you not, oj nie. He furthermore (and we disagree with this and have tried to dissuade him, to no avail, sigh man) drives on his tyres until they're completely bald, and he actually swaps those tyres for ones with tread when it comes to State Inspection time, headshake man. He then removes the better tyres and puts the bald ones back on, gee man.

put a Many/Many.ManyRMany on the Jeep. (To be honest, it's hard to even find more expensive tires atm. )

Well, no wonder, see Niki-B. ma'am: The Many/Many.ManyRMany is far more expensive than the Many/Many.ManyRMany, or even the Many/Many.ManyRMany. That's your precise problem, see ma'am.

You can try tirerack.com. have it shipped to you and then get it mounted.

I get tires that way

In our opinion, that place is a complete rip-off, egad man.

Level Many earthquake woke me!

So what were you worried about, huh ma'am? ...Oh -- a Level Many! Shudder, ma'am.

At Many:Many am.

That's either a propitious or ominous time for a Level Many earthquake, si ma'am.

How bad is level Many?

(Says he who royally failed P-math, giant sigh man)

Is level Many the same as a Many.0?

:bonk: And the same as a Many.00, and a Many.000, and a Many.00000000000, duh man.

true true.....

But I enjoy living in a country where I can drive 20 miles in any direction and still be in my country..... ;)

a country that produces enough food to feed itself, and is self sustaining. Where an average joe can own a car, may be a boat. Have the privacy of a backyard to have a nice little BBQ.

Drive an hour and go skiing. Or hunting.....

Have my own laundry room. And garage.....

and no, I'm not talking about being rich. I'm talking about an average Joe.

From sea to shining sea. You can't compare it if you haven't seen it.

And no, you can't buy 5 of my properties for the price of one flat in Singapore. You can't even buy my house for twice the price of your flat. May be even 3 or 4 times the price. And that's just Brooklyn.

Your little corner of America wasn't great for you. But my corner of America is great for me.

"I would never invade America, there'd be a gun behind every blade of grass" Fleet Admiral Yamamoto.

And that, is why Singapore/ the entire Asia was occupied by the Japanese.

Read about the revolutionary war, the Mexican American war, WWI, WW II. Yes, we as Americans have a lot to be proud of.

This country was built. Not manufactured.

And it, certainly has a lot more to offer than Singapore. May be you just don't realize it dear.

Lastly. Yes, I'm quite patriotic. I owe this country a lot.

huh?

Wow! Weren't you brain washed by the marines!! Lol

so...i've spent too much of my day thinking about this. it feels weird because for the past, what is it, two years? i've logged in to this site every day. you guys have been my support system, sometimes even my only friends within 500 miles.

Hey, don't worry about it. I know all about what it is like to move to a country and desperately want to go back home. Not every country is a good fit for everyone.

As to update - yesterday was the first day home from the NICU. They could find nothing wrong despite a whole battery of tests except that he came in dehydrated. The doctor we saw the first night in the NICU thought it might be that and that he was just a rare case that wasn't built to withstand waiting for my milk to come in. He still won't breastfeed long enough, so I'm pumping, breastfeeding, and formula feeding to keep him hydrated. He's also got to be fed every 3-4 hours without fail. It is tiring, but he seems so much healthier now. :)
