wal mart cheapo tires are NOT going on my jeep. Hubs already tried to cheap out and it's biting him in the bum because they don't have the tires he wants in the size he wants. National back orders!!! HAHAH! SUCKER!!! That's what he gets for trying to put a 35/12.5R15 on the Jeep. (To be honest, it's hard to even find more expensive tires atm. )

No I wouldn't use a China tire either. If you read the reviews, they're really crappy.

You can try tirerack.com. have it shipped to you and then get it mounted.

I get tires that way, have them ship it to my cousins shop.

Level 5? In Japan not as bad as in say Nepal, as most buildings are earthquake proof. I probably wouldn't have woken, except the earthquake alarm on my cellphone went off. Going to the convenience store to buy some snacks;)

So I bought 4 tires but the tire shop wouldn't put them on because our wheels are an inch smaller than the recommended width for that tire. I was embarrassed though because hubs best friend decided to call me, talked to a manager and basically told me to go elsewhere, but these tires are REALLY hard to find. So i bought them anyhow. We'll find some mom and pop store to put them on, and if no one does, then I can still get half price rims from that tire shop. HA!

There's a reason why they refused to do that...

Don't forget, the car and tires are designed and tested by scientists, physicists, PhDs, etc....

They carefully calculate the tolerances, in this case, the lateral traction of the tires. They want certain "give" in the event of say, a T bone type collision, where the tires will slide vs. the side of the car caving in. or a lateral slide is preferred over a roll over....

for the same reasons, you really shouldn't put fatter tires on the car than what is recommended by the manufacturer. Especially in a smaller car that people love to soup up...
