Just a little advice to avoid delays........

1. Dont move or change your address during the process

2. If you have to move. Make an infopass appointment to change your address. Do it that way.

I called the mis-info line three times over a period of 4 months to give them change of address.....They never got it correct. It is still wrong to this day (found out during infopass appointment this morning). Also filled out and sent in AR-11 months ago. What more are people supposed to do???

And they call this a "Benefit"? What a joke!

I thank god my wife has the patience of a saint. She has had nothing but trouble with this immigration process since she landed at JFK....Starting with customs officials making her miss connecting flight and spent 1 1/2 days in the airport waiting on another flight. Welcome to America.

I'm sorry for the troubles your wife is going through. I hope she'll get her greencard soon and you don't have to worry about the USCIS for two years.

It's not always possible not to move during a process. My husband is in the military and we had to move shortly after I filed for AOS. Luckily everything went well in my case but we gave them my MIL address rather than the one we were moving to. We had to go from NC to TX for the interview for that but everything turned out good and we got all the letters we were supposed to (all the important ones like the invitation for the interview).

Like I said. All the best, be patient and hopefully she receives the GC soon.

AR-11 does not change one's mailing address, and it never has.

You can search for posts from me with the word 'overkill' for a recommended way to change your mailing address with USCIS, and information about AR-11.
