We have Folger's now, but I am not a huge fan and frenetically looking forward to March 25th when my parents will bring my beloved DeLonghi Espresso Machine to us! :) :) :) I like Starbucks, but it's a little bit costy to go there too often.

I think Lavazza is the best espresso, and I am so looking forward to drinking again my own Latte Macchiato!!!! :)

In Germany I drank a lot of coffee at work, between 4 to 5 mugs each day (hey it was for free). In NY at work I did the same, but the coffee was less intense why during lunch break I had to add an espresso from Starbucks. I need a ton of coffee to get going and even if I have an espresso before going to bed I will sleep like a stone. ;)

I drink a pot in the morning when at home. If I'm out I never drink coffee in the Philippines (except Starbucks).

You can get very good beans up here in the Cordillera Region of Central Luzon - (about $3.60/kilo).

I use my German Braun coffee grinder (still going strong after over 20 years).

But, it is sometimes almost IMPOSSIBLE to get a good cup of coffee in the Philippines.

What most people in the P.I. drink is Folgers instant! Unless you specifically ask for "brewed coffee" you will get instant.

The Folgers comes in little tiny packets along with a cup of hot water and LOTS of SUGAR and creamer (?) - Filipinos LOVE their SUGAR!

They look at me odd when I drink it black. :<)

HAVE to have coffee every day - about 5 cups. Black, no sugar. Plain old regular coffee - the way I like it (oh, and mocha is good too once in a while) - and only in the AM. My wife likes her coffee very strong, like mud and puts in more sugar than I have ever seen anyone put in coffee. We can go through literally a SACK of sugar (the biggest ones you buy at the grocery store) in two weeks. and she can drink coffee all day long.

10Yr GC arrived 07/02/09 - Naturalization is next

The drama begins - again!

And now the drama ends - they took the Green card . . .
