guys please tell me if i made a mistake or not about filing i-130. is this acceptable???

i bought folders that have ACCO fasters built in it, $20 for 5 of them. I punched 2 holes on top of my documents. I tried to separate each of the documents with dividers. Added tabs at the bottom as neatly as possible. They don t have dividers with tabs at the bottom so i had to make all these stuff myself. I tried to be as neat as nice as i could.

and filled them in this order:

• Cover Letter on the opening left side of the folder

1. Section

• Completed I-130.

Divider

• Completed G-325A for the husband.

• Completed G-325A for the wife.

Divider

• Two copies of the husband’s passport biographical page.

• Two copies of the husband’s Certificate of Naturalization page.

• 2 passport size photos of the husband and the wife. (in a plastic bag only had one so put all 4 in that bag)

2. Section on wife's stuff.

• Two copies of the wife’s passport biographical page.

• Two copies of the wife’s school leaving certificate.

3. marriage certificates

• Two copies of Memorandum of Marriage, the registered marriage certificate, with a photo.

• Two copies of Marriage Affidavit, the certified marriage certificate, with a photo.

4. Final section at the end of the folder

• 2 copies wedding invitations from the groom’s side.

• 2 copies of wedding invitations from the bride’s side.

• 10 wedding photos. (neatly inserted in plastic photo pages i've got from office max)

any attachments were signed

is this acceptable? did i make a mistake? i read on this site that people were filing "yellow" files and blah blah...

please let me know what do you think

thanks

raj

Raj,

You should be fine. It does not matter about format or order or even the type of folder, as long as all the neccessary documents are included. As long as you feel you've provided ALL the documents that they asked for you should be fine.

If there is an issue, they'll send you an RFE - request for evidence which will delay the application but not be denied out right.

Good luck
