I read in other forums (from someone who used to work at USCIS) that it's not advisable to do that until it's past the processing time on the USCIS website...because "technically" even if every other petition got processed under the 5 month time, they are "allowed" the 5 months for processing before it's considered past the filing time. i feel so bad for everyone still waiting and i wish there was at least some logic behind the way that they're processing the applications :(

OUT OF THE REMAINING APRIL FILIERS WHO HAVE NOT RECEIVED THEIR NOA-2, HAS ANYONE WRITTEN A LETTER TO THEIR CONGRESSMAN FOR ASSISTANCE?

Maybe we should start a new thread and brainstorm. I was thinking of something like that but thinking maybe they will give

the same answer as USCIS .... same blah blah blah, about waiting for the 5 month processing time.

I AM GOING TO PUT SOMETHING TOGETHER AND POST IT. IT'LL BE A BIT LATER MAYBE AFTER WORK.

We just got our NOA-2!!!!!!! Only 4 days after replying to RFE and exactly 2 months after NOA-1 date!!!!!!!! ?????????????????

So happy!!! Tried calling my fiance and the #=@*(*@& circuits are all busy!!!! Arch!!!! So frickin happy though!!!

Best of luck to all still waiting!!!

2015-07-20: Got our case # from NVC on the phone and same day transferred to the Embassy

2015-07-27: According to the CEAC site, our case is ready for the interview

2015-09-06: ACCEPTED!!! (Checked also on ustraveldocs.com), delivery company called me when can they deliver the docs

2015-09-18: POE: ATLANTA

2015-11-23: Got 3 txt msgs with 3 different receipt numbers (MSC# - AOS, EAD, AP)

2015-11-27: 3 NOA#3 received by mail

2015-12-09: Biometrics appointment letter received by mail - Appointment is on the 21st December

2015-12-21: Biometrics was taken for EAD

2015-12-21: RFE received regarding I-485 (W2 was requested)

2015-12-22: Evidence (W2) sent back to USCIS

2015-12-28: Biometrics appointment letter received by mail - Appointment is on the 4th January

2016-01-04: Biometrics was taken for AOS

2016-02-01: Service request sent regarding EAD

2016-02-02: Service request was sent to an officer for response
2016-02-05: Expedite request sent
2016-02-11: Second service request sent, assigned to an officer same day
2016-02-12: EAD/AP card is being produced!!!
2016-02-17: EAD/AP card is being mailed!!!

I totally get that and feel the same way. We have to remain hopeful and our time will come. I pray this is our week so we can all move on to the next phase and be that much closer to being to our loved ones.

April 9, 2015 First visit to Medellin.

April 14, 2015 Got engaged the day before David flew back home. Met Nelson's mother and showed her our rings. :wow:

April 17, 2015 Filed I-129F

April 22, 2015 NOA-1 date

May 23, 2015 2nd trip to Medellin - Had lunch with Nelson's family and spent more quality time together.

June 9, 2015 3rd trip to Medellin - Spent more time with Nelson's mother, met Nelson's friends and began making plans for October wedding

June 10, 2015 RFE receipt date

June 15, 2015 Hard copy of RFE received

June 16, 2015 Mailed overnight RFE reply.

June 17, 2015 RFE reply received from USCIS (notified by email).

June 22, 2015 NOA-2 date

June 29, 2015 Received NOA-2 hard copy

July 13, 2015 NVC Case Number Assigned

July 21, 2015 Case "Ready" at Bogota CEAC.

Aug 14-21, 2015 4th and final trip to Colombia (at least for a year or so) to be there for interview !!!!

05.12.2016 - Interview scheduled for 06.15.2016 (wow, that really took 6 months from filing...)

06.15.2016 - Interview. Approved! (but not at the interview, got notification about 4 hours later)

06.30.2016 - Green Card Received!
