Thanks asdf! My NOA2 is also 6/2 so that'll give me an idea of where mine is. I'll probably call Monday or something and see if there's a number yet.

You are welcome. The NVC gave me the usual scripted 4 week processing time for a case number however I was checking the timelines and some people get the case number the next day. So I will be calling every day I suppose and will update this thread when I get the number.

Both times I've called so far have said they won't get it until 35 days blah blah blah. Maybe I'll give them a call and see if it's actually there.

You are not alone I heard the same 35 days blah blah blah from USCIS to NVC :) ...

Called again. The usual, however this time the lady (Daphne I believe) said 4 weeks instead of 35 days. Switching it up I guess, but it doesn't make it any less disappointing. Arghh patience is not my forte. I'm ready to be done with 6 years of distance and to be in California permanently!

Well that is a (censored word) bummer. I would have thought for sure your case would have been received since we have the same NOA2 date.

6 years is a long time for long distance relationship I am not sure how you managed to keep it together for so long? I am out patience as well after little less then a year. You have more patience then I do ...

I thought so too. Oh well. It's not like having the case number makes it go any faster anyway.

Trust me, 6 years has not been easy. And half the time I'm not sure how i have survived this long without losing my sanity. Waiting for this is definitely a breeze, it's the easy part. Visiting, texting, and nightly phone calls makes it easier, along with weekend video calls.

I called the NVC again tonight because our case number still hasn't been coming up on CEAC. they said the petition was sent to the embassy on the 15th, so I'm guessing the next step is to contact the embassy for packet 3?

We do the chat thing every night for an hour or so but even that gets difficult to think of new things to talk about. I am so glad I am almost done with this process. I am not sure about canada but Manila from what I read on the forums soon as we get the case numbers we can schedule the medical, interviews and complete the process without having to wait for packet 3 or 4,.

It seems so weird for this thread to be quiet now after so many weeks of everyone talking about this process. It almost feels haunted lol

If You already have your case number And the Juárez consulte has your case you can set everything up for your interview, and ask at the window the day you arrive for them to print you the letter (packet 3) that you will use to get the medical exam, fingerprints and intervie, you can start planning on it already, once you fill out the form ds 160 you can select the date on your interview the consulate doesn't assign you the date, (this is only for the Juarez consulate)

According to the info, the police certificate takes 10 days and is only valid for 30 days. So it might be better to hold off until we get a letter and an interview scheduled.
