Good Morning Fellow April Filers. I hope you all are well.

Kindly assist me with this matter as I need some clarification.

I successfully contacted NVC this morning and was given a case #. I checked it on the CEAC website it says ready. They also informed me that the Embassy will contact my fiancée.

I'm unsure as what to do next. Should I have my fiancée schedule the interview or do I wait for the embassy to contact him?

Also in regards to the medical exams can he schedule it now or will he receive special instruction from the embassy.

I will send him my I-129F original application with supporting Evidence, employer letter, the affidavit of support form I-134F, as wells as bank account info. Does he need to pay for the visa fee now?

In regards to the bank acct, I plan to include the date the acct was opened and current balance is it required to have the deposits for the past year?

Thank you all for any info you can provide.

Thanks.

We also have to remember (based on Igor's list) that April was an EXTREMELY high number of applications filed (probably once everyone started realizing they were all being routed to CSC). :ranting:

When you sort Igor's list by "All Applications" April has 258! Compared to previous months with like 155, 138, 147 etc. They have A LOT more applications to get through for April filers compared to previous months :o

It still sucks, of course...but if theres 258 posted on here...imagine how many more there are from people that don't even use VJ, or people that don't update their timelines. <_<

I still agree that there's absolutely no logic as to the newer NOA1 dates that get worked before the older ones :huh2:

Fingers crossed that June is a strong month for us April filers! :dancing:

I think the NVC/Embassy will address all that stuff when they send packet 3 to you guys. But if you search on google "K1 Visa Application Instructions Package (+ the name of the country)" you can usually find a copy of the instructions for the next step. But I don't think any of that stuff can be paid or scheduled until you actually recieve the info from them.

For the I-134F, are you providing the bank account info because you don't meet the 125% poverty guidelines? Only asking because: just as an FYI, you don't have to provide any additional info on that form if you DO meet the guidelines (if you make enough money). The additional info is only needed if you don't meet it and need that additional info as further proof of income/assets. If you do meet the requirements, then just your pay stubs/tax info from the past few years/letter from your employer should be fine. I meet the guidelines, and when I get to the point you're at, I'm only planning on including these things (plus, I'm printing out history from my account showing my direct deposits and balances-but I'm only doing that to provide extra info because I'd rather provide too much info than not enough lol). But of course, you can double check all of this in the forum specific to your country.

Hope this helps! Good luck! :)

I think you are right and they are loaded to never land on our numbers! I was looking at Igor's list for March and snooping in on the March filer's thread, there is a NOA1 for 3/19 that is still not adjudicated, they are active and posting as well, so not an abandoned timeline. Let's hope the dice roll better soon!

Thank you ShellyMarie. . I was just following the direction from visajourney on what to collect after you receive your NOA2. Plus I see many people get it. I can access my online banking for a list of my direct deposit. but it won't be official from the bank I was thinking of doing that.

No Problem! Every country may be different in what they expect, so definitely follow the instructions in your packet 3 when you get them. I just know first hand, my fiance's country (brazil) is not requiring that (based on other posts from people in brazil). But I think the most important thing any of the countries is going to look for is proof of income/tax history.

Good luck!

Hi April Filers,

I-129F NOA1: April 9, 2015

I-129F NOA2: May 11, 2015 (32 days)

Would love to know how long it took some of you to get case #'s from the NVC etc/how long it took for your petitions to get there. I've heard horror stories of them ending up in the wrong place and I am getting slightly anxious about our petition. The first time we called (and actually got through) they had still not received it and this was a little after the two week mark. I know it's still not 30 days, but should I be worried?

Any advice/thoughts would be great.

Good luck to all of you!

Thanks

4 days away from a month since NOA2, still no case number.

Ugh, I'm in the same boat as you and our notice dates are very similar. I've been getting my unabridged birth certificate and police clearance in order in the meantime.

Anyways, let me know if you hear anything. Would love to know how a fellow South African is getting on with all of this.

Thanks!

We have similar timelines. I called this morning. They gave me a case number. When I Checked it on CEAC it says ready. I'm not sure if it means sent or received by the embassy. yours might be the same. Try calling at 7am. Good luck.

Ugh guys. So we had the help of lawyer with our petition for peace of mind, before I realized I could get so much help through VJ. She's causing me more of a headache than doing any good. we got our petition approved already, but she put the totally wrong postal code for my address. She just send us the copies of our petition and I just saw it now. Currently I'm just waiting for my case to get to NVC, do I tell them to correct my address when I get through to them or should I wait until it's at the embassy to correct my postal code? What do ya guys think? I know it's not a big deal but I just want everything to match up, of course! And if I'm getting mailed anything I won't receive it. Grrrrrrr!!!!!

She also put in "Montreal, Canada" for our embassy and I was hoping for Vancouver over Montreal (Canada has a few locations). So I hope I don't get assigned to Montreal just because of that. It is waaaaayyyy farther for me. UGH. Sorry for the rant. I am just so annoyed. I know now I'd rather just do everything myself rather than rely on someone who doesn't care.
