I actually think i shows the day your application arrived at the Service Centers. Got my NOA1 on 05/08 and last update was 05/14. So one week shipping between the distribution Center (Lockbox) and Service Centers sounds reasonable

It is very possible, ours however showed an update two weeks after NOA1. so it could be that or it could be like a "pre sort" or something. But this is pure speculation on my part

applied for N400 whilst I751 was pending, however I751 was approved without an interview on Jan 10th /11th

N-400 applied Online: 11/7/18

BIO for N400 : 11/30/18

EST. Case Completion: October 2019) of 7/15/19 

INTERVIEW: 10/7/2019- APPROVED

OATH DATE: 10/24/2019-  received oath letter in the mail on 10/11

The g-1145 is just for NOA1. If you want a text/email notification for NOA2, you have to go online and turn on notifications on the USCIS case checker.

I checked it out and signed up for the notifications...thanks!

Hello guys, same thing happened, got an RFE today. But hey, look at the bright side indeed, someone is working on your petition!!! We all will get soon those letters, send back what they need immediately and if you see the stats between an RFE date and 2nd NOA, it's not bad! There are many people who already got their 2nd NOA, but more who haven't heard anything since weeks or months...Now you know SOMETHING:-) I am happy! Not as happy, but it's still something!

P.S. When we sent our petition to the USCIS, we haven't heard about visajourney, so we didn't know we need to include a letter of intent to marry. I was quite sure that they will need this from us (however my fiancé wasn't), so I sent an original one with some other evidences with Fedex a few days ago to him, just in case. According to the tracking he should have gotten it just on Friday, but he got my letter today...EXACTLY on the same day, when we got the RFE:-))) So if I assume it right, he has everything already in his hands to send it to USCIS...It has to be a sign:-)))

We are in a similar situation as you. When we filed, we hadn't yet discovered VJ and we only included one Letter of Intent. Today is exactly one month since NOA1. I am sure we will get RFE but I have the second LOI ready to go right back to USCIS aa soon as we get letter. As someone else said, the turn around seems pretty quick once they get the additional evidence. Best of luck!

It's bad enough to wait that long just to get an RFE. I have the feeling the same thing is in store for me, tomorrow is day number 50 since NOA1, still no sign of it being worked on. Hopefully it is simple and you are back on track soon. At least you know it's not lost!

Yeah. It's really starting to annoy me. Even if it sounds weird, but I'm honestly glad that there is someone else who has the same problem lol. And I'm sure, whatever we get, we will get it around the same time too. Either we got the same guy (dunno how many officers work there lol) or our petitions landed in the same box or something, since we both have the same LUD date, same errors, etc.

But yeah. Getting a RFE after waiting over a month really stinks. I really hope that it won't happen to us. Like seriously.

Well, yeah compared to that, of course one month is nothing. And I'm glad that ours got routed to CSC after all. (and sorry, I didn't want to offend anyone, it's not like I'm laughing at those people who have to wait much longer(jeez)) But it is still a little disheartening seeing a bunch of petitions going through that were submitted after.

My fiance called USCIS after we got the RFE notice yesterday by email. They said we gonna get the hard copy on next Tue or Wed :)

2015-04-15: NOA1 received

2015-05-21: RFE message received by email and text

2015-05-26: RFE hardcopy received

2015-05-27: RFE sent

2015-05-28: RFE received by CSC, status updated on USCIS website

Completely understand where you're coming from. We're all so anxious to hear anything from the service centers, and it's hard when you see weeks pass by from when you expected to hear a decision!
