heyyyyyyyyyyyyy my birthday is this week too! :dancing: Tomorrow! When is yours??

And yep, I'm one of them. NOA1 date was 04/03/15.

My fiance and I thought we would get it approved way sooner anyway.

It's my birthday this week, maybe USCIS will show some empathy. well...hope is the last thing to die I guess lol.

I am not being negative with this post just some venting :)

Is anyone else thinking just how stupid it is that we have to wish each other luck that the government (USCIS) simply does what it is supposed to do (I.E. their jobs) in a timely fashion ? What is bothering me is the HB-1 employment visa (even for temporary workers) have a higher processing priority at USCIS then K1 further HB'S also have the option to pay for premium processing to move them to the head of the line causing "US" to have to wait even longer. Given it only takes 15-30 minutes to approve a petition and the embassy interviews are averaging (based on JV postings) 5 minutes there is really not any reason why this entire process couldn't be done at the embassy in under an hour during the interview since the CO has the final say on if the visa is approved anyway regardless what the USCIS does. The Gov't could save everyone a lot of time and frustration if they would use some common sense.

Now that I am done with my rant LOL good luck everyone !

I was thinking about that... I wonder what percentage of VJ users stick with it through the whole process, and remember to fill in their timelines with NOA2 and other dates? There could potentially be a lot of approved petitions for users who didn't update their timelines.

I would agree with that JamesT, except when you look now at the February unprocessed K-1s, there are only 13. Maybe some of these haven't updated, but I don't think the number is that great. If it were, there would be many more from February still showing as unprocessed.

Something else that I was wondering is how many people file who never even find out about VisaJourney. It seems to me that the majority of K-1 filers are on VJ, but who knows?

Another excellent point, and I was wondering the same thing! Is it 5% of all K-1 filers who show their timeline on VisaJourney? Or 10%, 25%, closer to 50%, or even more? Who really knows. So it's hard to know exactly how accurate the statistical sampling really is.

About 33,000 K1 VISA'S per year are issued .... So 33,000 / 12 is around 2,800...If my quick math is accurate about 10-20% is probably a good estimate of applicants on this website.

I try not to bash CSC or TSC for this reason... I'm sure that they are working very hard at their jobs at processing ALL visas and not just K-1s! There are so many applicants who are not on VJ and now ALL of them are going to CSC.

But, here's to a new week  I've started to enjoy Mondays knowing that I have a full 5 business days ahead of me to check for our NOA2  . And Happy Birthday to everyone who is celebrating this week, hopefully there will be even more reasons to celebrate

Very interesting, ASDF. Wow, I would have thought it a much higher percentage than that. My guess, too, is that there is a much higher percentage of RFEs issued for those who do NOT use this website. Thanks for the info.
