That it was received etc. Then ther ones after me are a mix of approvals, RFEs and error messages. I've found one before mine that was approved, and the rest are the received message.

Who knows! And interestingly enough, all petitions after mine are 129Fs, and everything before isn't. I think you're right - no rhyme or reason to any of it!

Hi all,

I just did some calculations based on Igor's List.

They are definitely well into processing April now. I noticed that they are processing roughly 44 a week in total, with about half of those being April.

If you received your NOA1 between April 1 and April 7, there are 28 approved, and 34 still not processed, so roughly half of those receiving NOA-1s the first week of April are still not processed.

If you received your NOA1 between April 8 and April 13, there are 16 approved and 39 still not processed, only about 30 percent of those have received NOA-2s.

Today, there was an NOA-2 for a filer with an NOA-1 date of April 21.

But I say all this because assuming they continue to process in California at the rate of 44 a week, and assuming that they are now processing mostly March and April, then you could look to see where you are on IGOR'S unapproved list to calculate when you should receive your NOA-2. I think it is a lot longer than stated in the "predicted date". Based on my fiance and my NOA-1 receipt date of April 22, I am estimating an NOA-2 date of June 2 now.

I think, especially for the second half of April filers, the processing time from NOA-1 is going to end up being approximately 40-45 days. If it is sooner, then great, and this is certainly possible based on the NOA-2 received today from an April 21st filer.

I find that I just need to be patient or this is going to drive me crazy !! LOL.

Cheers !

I wonder how much the complexity of the petition impacts how long it takes to process? In other words I bet an "easy" petition with no complications such as former spouses of either the petitioner or beneficiary, no children of the beneficiary, no criminal background of the petitioner, not meeting via an "IMB", no previous K-1 filings, and solid proof of the relationship and intent to marry would be very quick to process. On the other hand, a petition with a lot of complications that require checking and administrative review would take much longer in comparison.

I know all the previous comments have been removed...but I just wanted to say I think you handled yourself very well (a lot better than I probably would have haha). You've been a great help to myself and others along the way and just wanted to let you know your input is appreciated! :)

Thank you :) My head is too frazzled with with K-1 stuff to be bothered to get into a silly spiff :no:

And also I love our April filers group, everyone is so supportive and it's kind of nice that we are all on the same track here!

Thanks DavidBoston for that info - it's nice to read when it's been a very slow week as far as NOA2's go.

I too am a April 22 noa1... Patiently waiting as the wait seems to be creeping longer and longer at the CSC. But how can I really be upset I'm not at the TSC. Good luck everyone!

I posted this last week, but I'll post it again:

The NOA1 date/number is not the ultimate indicator of when you'll get your NOA2! Remember every case is different, and therefore will take different amounts of time to process. It's totally normal for people with a later NOA1 date than you to get their NOA2 before you.

So JamesT, yes, complexity of the petition definitely has an effect!

I came across this article before and I've been looking for it ever since! lol thanks for reposting! :)

This is a little old but sort of an interesting read if you are bored :) .... Sounds like the petitions are placed into boxes and grabbed sort of randomly off the shelves by the officers... http://www.visajourney.com/content/adjudicator-q-and-a
