thanks so much for the quick reply Shelly Marie. I am definitely going to do that tomorrow. My letter was a great letter of how we met, fell in love and how I even met his mother when I was to Columbia. But I'm sure they're not going to overlook the lack of his signature just because we have a very romantic story. So now I have another question. Is it possible to send in more information before you get an RFE........ just to be a little proactive and hope that maybe they even get it and don't send out the RFE? And all in all, I really wish that I had discovered this site before beginning the process because I would not have made that mistake. Thanks very much again!!!!!

You're welcome! But i just want to clarify that I'm understanding because the letter of intent and the "how we met" letter are 2 different things. The meeting letter only has to be written and signed by you. As far as the letter of intent, there should be 2: one from you and one from the beneficiary, each one signed by the person writing it. It only has to be a quick simple letter (there's templates on here).

My personal opinion, based on what I've read on this site, it's best to wait for the RFE because by the time they match up your submitted info to your case, it could end up taking longer.

From the form I-129f question 34a .. I answered it only in one sentence and my fiancé answered it in one page with both signatures.. Do you guys think I'll get an RFE ? I'm worrying about it .. Please let me know .. Thank you guys!

They only require one explanation of meeting...I don't *think* it matters if it comes from you or your fiancé, but you might want to double check on that. The meeting letter only requires one signature.

This is a great website with so much useful information but once in awhile if I spend too much time looking at posts, it just makes me more worried that we didn't submit something that we should have. I will keep you all posted!

Hey David! I'm the same way, I love this site...but I have to actively stop myself from going on it sometimes because it gives me anxiety.

I agree with you guys 100% on these comments... On one hand this is a great site with a lot of awesome, accurate, helpful information, but on the other hand I find that it tends to give me a lot of unhealthy anxiety about every little detail and apparent delay that I wouldn't have if I'd never found the site. A double-edged sword for sure!

From our I-129F pack:

An intent to marry letter from the petitioner.

An intent to marry letter from the beneficiary.

A sheet explaining how me met, etc from the petitioner only.

We simply stated that we met via online dating site but we did meet in person on the same day as I was on vacation there.

Each case will obviously be taken on its own merits & I suppose any advice given is based on the individuals own experiences?

Keep positive......& good luck ?

Good Morning Everyone! Happy Monday! :energy:

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing, and if there are any new updates from anyone! Ahhh this is all so nervewrecking and exciting at the same time! Hearing people's updates and stuff really helps to keep me going!

P.S. Sorry for being a pain...I know I've already asked about this, and I appreciate the responses! But I was just wondering if anyone else in this chat (April 2015 filers) submitted their letter of intent with a scanned signature instead of an original, or am I the only one? I was just hoping that if anyone else has, if you could share your results with me when you get them (If you get and RFE, or if you are able to sneak on through). I know every case is different! I just have huge knots in my stomach waiting to see if I'm going to get an RFE or if there's hope that maybe I'll sneak through too. My fiance has already mailed me the originals, and I should have them in a couple weeks, so I'll be set in case I get an RFE. I'm just kicking myself for overlooking this! :bonk:

Thanks again, and I hope everyone has a great week! :dancing::thumbs::dance::lol:

We submitted scanned copies as told by our lawyer helping us through the process, so hopefully we get through too! Lol. I will keep you updated :) Good luck to you!!!

When I was in the Philippines I had my fiancee write, print and sign 3 separate copies of the letter of intent to marry. I did the same. I remember reading someplace that both need to sign and submit the letter of intent.

04-23-2015 Sent in the I-129f to the Dallas Lockbox

04-29-2015 USCIS cashed our check and sent us text and email our NOA1

05-04-2015 NOA1 paper copy received today

06-01-2015 Sent letter requesting petition for K-1 visa be withdrawn and terminated. We are no longer engaged.
