First of all, I'm so happy to see other people receiving their NOA2 now! Congrats guys!

It's been about a week since we received ours, so I think I'll start calling NVC at the end of next week. I'm a bit confused about the NVC process though. They don't send any notifications, correct? We have to check our status ourselves once we've been assigned a case number? And once it's out of NVC and sent to the embassy, we shouldn't fill out the DS-160 until we receive packet 3, right?

Hi kikibozu!

Now that you have your NOA2, it will be sent to the NVC and then forwarded on to the US Consulate in the beneficiary's country. It may take a couple of weeks to get your case number, NVC will notify you but is wise to call them after a week to know the status of your petition (your petition has a validation period of 120 days starting the NOA2 date) you can also request information by email: NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

You can find out what is needed in Packet 3 and prepare for that and the interview in advance to save time later (beneficiary's birth certificate, police records, evidence of ongoing relationship, affidavit of support etc).

Some of those interview requirements are fairly consulate specific, so I suggest to take a look in your country's forum.

Hope this helps! :)

Then we pretty much have the same dates! Keep me updated about your process :D I hope we get our NOA2 notices soon! ^_^

Yes, very close in dates. I am checking all the time so I will let you know when it happens :) Let me know if you hear anything as well. I'm just hoping for no RFE and right to NOA2! I would like to schedule my next trip to coincide with medical/interview so I could be there for it, but there are a lot of unknowns at this point so that may not work out.

Good Morning, Congratulations to everyone who has received their NOA-2!

It seems like some filers are able to get updates at USCIS website. I am seeing a couple of people who received their NOA-1 after us, but are seeing activity in the form of updates or "last worked on" information. I received our NOA-1 notice April 22nd and since then, the only message I have is this:

On April 20, 2015, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxxxxx, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice.............................

Am I missing something ?? I created an account of course, but I don't really see anyplace to go to check if it has been worked on at all yet. My thought was that it was just still in a box with others sent from the lockbox.

Just curious.

Thanks.

Hi David! Originally I got the same update that you have posted in red. Up until a couple days ago, that update is gone and now when I check the case status I get an error message (which I called about and they said it doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong).

Anywho, I get the same error message even when I log in (some people said they get the error message when they check not logged in, but when they log in, they can see a status message...for me I get the error no matter what). However, when you log in, you can "add" your case number...and then below, you should see your case number in a blue hyper link that you can click on...next to that, there's a date that says "last updated" and mine says it was last updated yesterday 5/6 but doesn't tell me what the update is.

Hope this helps, and best of luck!

Good Morning All! Ok so, I'm kind of a huge worrier and I have a bit of anxiety on a couple things that I think I may have done wrong, after reading some of the things on here. I know every case is different! But, I'm going to list a few of my concerns, and can anyone who has gone through the same thing, either with or without problems, let me know the outcome! Thank you!

1. For evidence of meeting, this is what I submitted...(do you think this is enough?):

Primary:

  • A copy of my flight purchase/itinerary printed from the purchasing website.
  • My boarding passes
  • A copy of the receipt showing that I had money converted into their money at the airport in Brazil
  • Two bus tickets from our travels together (I chose these, because the bus tickets are printed with names on them, so it shows that we both took the same bus trip at the same time).
  • A copy of the page from my passport with my visa on it, showing entry and exit stamps

Secondary:

  • 10 original color photos of us together, with our names, locations and dates written on the back.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

2. As far as the G325A goes...we each filled one out...he signed it and then scanned it in and emailed it to me and I printed it out to submit it (instead of waiting the weeks it would take to receive the copy in the mail). I did the same for the fiance letter of intent to marry. He signed it and scanned it back to me

Is it going to be a problem that it's not an "original" signature in ink? Or is it ok, because it is his actual signature?

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

3. I don't have a checking account...so I sent a USPS money order. The thing that's worrying me is that, when you send a money order, it asks you to provide the address of the payee. I was confused because, even though it was sent to the USCIS, the money order is supposed to be addressed to USDHS (spelled it out on the money order). SO...I wasn't sure if the "pay to" address should be the USCIS address, or the USDHS address, so i left it blank.

I did call the USCIS to ask before I sent it, and they told me "it's up to my discression which address I put on the money order." My thought process was, I'd rather leave it blank, than to put the wrong address and have them not be able to cash it.

Thoughts??

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

LAST THING I PROMISE (for now hehehe) :jest:

4. How many passport pics did you all send? I read the instructions a million times and it says to send "a" passport photo (of each)...but I've read on here where people have sent 2 of each...I only sent one of each.

Thinking back now, I probably should have just sent both just in case...but wasn't sure if I was supposed to keep the second one for myself for this process somewhere down the road.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Thanks so much in advance to all! :) I really appreciate any personal experiences you can provide! I really want that NOA2 without any RFE's! :crying::cry:

Hope this helps.....

From our experience:

1: you've sent the same as we did, should be easily sufficient.

2: not sure on the "wet" signature. We signed ours together so weren't copies.

3: got a feeling our payment was taken before the petition went to CSC so if you've got NOA1 then you should be ok, if not they'll just return it & send it in again?

4: we just sent 1 passport photo for each of us with the G235A.

I'd redo your G325A & get your fiancé to redo theirs & mail it with the "wet" signature. If you do it now & have it ready then you can just send it straight back if you do get a RFE. You've a bit of time to get it mailed while you're in process at CSC. Fingers crossed you won't need it ?
