Rush, maybe you ought to rethink the suggestion that JeffandTanya and I put forth that you have ignored, and that is an infopass appointment at your nearest LOCAL USCIS location. Hey, nothing ventured nothing gained.

Ranting and Raving here is not going to get you squat.

We were approved in Juarez yesterday!!!!! :D

She gave them financial info, photos and medical in one window and then went to the interview. The wait is around 3 hours total from arrival to interview.

She said the interview was rather easy too. It was in Spanish. The questions were:

1. Where did you meet him?

2. Has he been to Mexico?

3. Why do you want to share your life with him if he's only been here twice? (to which she responded she's been to the US three times as well and spent over a month there total)

4. Is he handsome? (not lying!!!!!)

5. Is he smart? (ditto)

6. Do you think he is going to be the only husband you will ever have?

7. Do you think you will be the only wife he ever has?

"¡Felicitiones, tu visa está aprobada!" :joy:

Advice: When you come to Juarez, don't worry too much. Be safe, yes and cautious but when you are here, you will find that the area around the consulate is considerably safe. The other parts of Juarez you will probably take a taxi through are a bit suspect though. However, as I said, the area around the consulate is actually considerably safe. Stay at the IBIS hotel, it's rather cheap (I paid like $25 a night and it's really nice for the price). Also, eat at the breakfast buffet at Barrigas, which is an incredibly restaurant near the consulate. It is absolutely delicious and has the best costumer service you will ever experience. The mall which is near the consulate is very nice as well and the Buffalo Wild Wings has better prices than the US. Extra mart is also really close to Ibis too. Many places accept dollars. If you are the USC sponsor, be prepared to wait a while though. I was waiting outside for about 3 hours because the sala was completely full. Got nice sunburn too. LOL.

I am incredibly happy right. Good luck to all and a special blessing to my fellow Juarez petitioners!

Thanks everyone for the congrats! I got back home last night, and this morning Tanya messaged me that she got her passport back today with the visa!

The process at the consulate was a little different than I imagined it. After we went through security, you go through an outside courtyard like, then into the main building. For the K visa's and immigrant visas there is a row of windows with dividers between them. When they light up your number, you go to the window, they asked for all the information, such as affidavit of support, relationship documentation, etc. They asked for more photos, I didn't have any new ones so I just pulled out of the copy of the I-129F that I submitted to begin with, I don't know why they needed more when I was standing right there handing them to them  They said they would call us to one of the windows on the end when they were ready. I thought we would be called into a room for the interview, but it was right at a window, where everyone waiting could hear. We got to hear what they were asking and even one girl did her's in English, she was really nervous, lady told her everything was going to be ok. We waiting about an hour they they called us up, I was right there next to her during the interview. Our plan was to do the interview in English, but she read the oath in Russian and the lady just started the interview in Russian. She asked the basic questions, when she was showing her the pamphlet and asking her if she knew her rights I knew we were in good shape! The lady then asked me in Russian if I could speak Russian. I knew enough to know what she was asking and I replied back in Russian that I poorly understood it, she got a nice chuckle out of that  She also asked me about my kids, I answered her and she was happy with my responses. She said we were approved, I asked her if the passport would be delivered to her door and she said yes. We thanked her and were on our merry way. I will post more details later in the Ukraine portal for those interested in more info about the interview and the medical (I went to this as well, but they make you stand outside!).

I hope everyone else is making progress too, It really can start to move fast once you clear a few hurdles.

GUESS WHO JUST GOT NOTIFIED ABOUT AN RFE. Yup, this guy. And a day after a getting a letter from my Congressman that he would be more than happy to get involved. I just would have like to have heard this "We apologize sir. Someone made an error in processing your case. We will do whatever is necessary to expedite matters from here on in.". That's what I would have liked.
