But now you know what's up. I feel so sorry, all this time wasted. They really need to change the 5 months rule...so people can act faster..what the hell

Hey Rush....

I agree with your frustration through this whole ordeal. I don't think there is many of us that doesn't somehow think that you got the long end of the stick beat over your head.

Did you ever get the chance to ask them why you had to wait 5 months to get an answer. Why there some rule that says you have to wait that long before getting access to someone who can search and uncover what the hold-up is? Did he ever indicate what you should have done, around the time one would expect their NOA2 approval and one never comes, you are to do WHAT?

Oh my freakin god!

I can't even believe what I just read. I'm literally sweating because I put myself in your situation and I got furious just thinking about it. The least they could've done is apologizing and make an exception and tell you what the RFE is about. I'm gonna follow this until you're done.

That is unbelievable Rush! You were actually one of the first petitions in April picked up and worked on, they just completely dropped the ball. I also hope that they adjusted the date of the RFE so you have time to reply, because it would probably have expired by now. I supposed they didn't even clue you in to what the RFE was for so you could prepare for it? Hopefully they change your status online as well, because I wouldn't trust them at all. I would keep calling them until they show RFE was issued. Keep us updated and good luck!

Jeez, been following this & waiting for some outcome! That's just plain bad service & it stinks that there's no accountability for the error!!

The worst thing is the being tied to the rules & regs as to when you can & can't ask a question, this could have been answered simply by someone looking at the screen back in May & saying "hey you got an RFE have you not received it?"

It's wasted you 4 months but at least now you know that your case isn't lost & there is light at the end of the tunnel - fingers crossed for an easy RFE & the rest of the process gets done quickly.

Good luck with the rest of the journey…..

We were approved in Juarez yesterday!!!!! :D

She gave them financial info, photos and medical in one window and then went to the interview. The wait is around 3 hours total from arrival to interview.

She said the interview was rather easy too. It was in Spanish. The questions were:

1. Where did you meet him?

2. Has he been to Mexico?

3. Why do you want to share your life with him if he's only been here twice? (to which she responded she's been to the US three times as well and spent over a month there total)

4. Is he handsome? (not lying!!!!!)

5. Is he smart? (ditto)

6. Do you think he is going to be the only husband you will ever have?

7. Do you think you will be the only wife he ever has?

"¡Felicitiones, tu visa está aprobada!" :joy:

Advice: When you come to Juarez, don't worry too much. Be safe, yes and cautious but when you are here, you will find that the area around the consulate is considerably safe. The other parts of Juarez you will probably take a taxi through are a bit suspect though. However, as I said, the area around the consulate is actually considerably safe. Stay at the IBIS hotel, it's rather cheap (I paid like $25 a night and it's really nice for the price). Also, eat at the breakfast buffet at Barrigas, which is an incredibly restaurant near the consulate. It is absolutely delicious and has the best costumer service you will ever experience. The mall which is near the consulate is very nice as well and the Buffalo Wild Wings has better prices than the US. Extra mart is also really close to Ibis too. Many places accept dollars. If you are the USC sponsor, be prepared to wait a while though. I was waiting outside for about 3 hours because the sala was completely full. Got nice sunburn too. LOL.

I am incredibly happy right. Good luck to all and a special blessing to my fellow Juarez petitioners!
