its the final countdown... 10 days until I explode.

Happy Monday everyone. And yet another week begins. Summer is coming to a close. Beautiful sunsets in NY the last few weeks. Summer was completely wasted aside from my trip to China. Thanks a lot USCIS. Way to stress me out. Hair loss (see profile picture), increased blood pressure(not good for a chubby guy to begin with) and a hair trigger temper(something I am not accustomed to. I really am normally calm. Really).

Congratulations to all nearing the day when they don't have to go through this bull#$%t anymore.

Good luck to all those still waiting. Pretty soon it'll just be me. :)

Thanks Sunya. I only sent the email to London this morning, but I've been starting to grow more concerned in the last couple of days. This led to me reading more and more on here and coming to the realisation there may be an issue, but at the very least, it deserved some chasing up from me. I selected the same options you mentioned on the email, and included all pertinent details on the case. Hope I get a reply next week.

I had called NVC previously, who told me that they could see some updates on my case such as the DS-160 being received followed by the medical results received, the latter of which must have been on 18 AUG which was when the last touch occurred. Someone else pointed out in this thread it's only been 8 business days since the last touch, although I did have my medical 6 AUG, so I really thought I would have an update by now in line with others with similar time frames who already have interviews scheduled.

I read this thread which gives estimates of around 6-7 weeks from medical date to interview date for London; that would put me around 17 SEPT/24 SEPT for the interview, but given I've not been issued one yet and I see others here with interviews now into October, that's when I became a bit disheartened that I may have been forgotten. One can't assume that all the September appointments are gone, but if I were to have one in just a few weeks, wouldn't I have been notified by now? You can see where the doubts start to creep in. And seeing everyone's timelines on here is a double edged sword, because it gives you hope and potentially a false sense of entitlement.

Does anyone have a firm idea of how long it normally takes to get assigned an interview after your medical results have been received by the embassy?

Good news! I rang NVC yesterday and after being on hold for 90 mins I finally got through and discovered that I have indeed been issued an interview date for 5th Oct. It was issued on 26th Aug. No packet 4 received yet, but I have faith it will arrive in the coming days. Relieved to have that interview date finally, my worries have subsided!

For those of you checking CEAC daily, mine has not updated since 18th Aug and gave me no indication that an interview date had been assigned (I was under the impression it would), so my advice would be to keep occasionally calling NVC to check. Tel: 001-603-334-0700 then they now have an option for checking for interview, I think it's option 2 from memory.

Thanks to those of you who helped me out. Roll on interview date!

Congrats. Things are really going to move fast now.

Just to add a couple of things to your statement. Call at 7:00 am EST and your wait will be much shorter then what yo experience. I have been able to get through on one or two rings.

Also there is a second number to use it's 603-334-0888 and people are finding wait times are manageable with some getting through right away.

To avoid calling and wondering, get the phone app (link is in my signature below) and you will get updates as soon as they happen.

Thinking about this yesterday on the commute home from work: Can't wrap my head around this - What person wakes up one day and says to themselves " When I grow up, I want to work for the USCIS and process applications"

That's it for today...

Stay classy San Diego

So... we had our interview today and... WE ARE APPROVED!!! :D

My fiancé and I spent 3 hours at the Paris embassy before we were called up for the interview, which was only 2 questions: how/when we met, and what I (the American petitioner) do for a living. That's it!

Thank you so much to everyone in this thread for all your help. Congrats to everyone else who has been approved, and for everyone still waiting, hang in there! It's worth it!
