Hi all,

I have been following this thread for many months but this is my first post.

I am still anxiously waiting for the London embassy to send me packet 4 and issue an interview date. Having submitted my DS-160 and Readiness Forms back on 22 JUL 15' and completed my medical on 06 AUG 15, we're nearly at the six week mark and still nothing heard yet from the embassy. I see a number of other members here with similar timelines to me who already have their interviews scheduled, making me think that I've been forgotten!

After some research, I found a page on the London embassy website which gives you an idea of the DS-160/Readiness dates they are currently processing for interview scheduling right now - LINK: http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/status_check.html- I see they are going through forms submitted upto and before 26 JUL 15' right now, so I still have hope I'll get something next week as provided mine hasn't been lost or didn't get submitted mine should be in that pile. That said, I did just send the London embassy an email to query, if only to get reassurance that everything is in order and I'm in line waiting (apparently 5 working days to receive a response). Like you all, I live day by day, and seek regular reassurance that things with the case are processing.

I really feel for all of you with similar worries and anxiety, as it happens I've had it better than most and was one of the lucky ones to have their K1 routed to California (I should have gone to Texas). But to be frank, I think the whole system is a bit of a farce and totally unfair, especially to those of you who are/have been stuck in the Texas backlog. I really can't imagine how you guys must feel.

Anyway, let me know if any of you following this thread are in a similar situation to me with a similar timeline, if only to reassure me/others, that we aren't the only people waiting. I had hoped to go to the US in September but that idea is fading real fast, in fact I've seen some of you with interviews now scheduled in October so all the September appointments might already be gone?!

Good luck to all.

Looks like something may have been missed as the average time to interview from medical is around 6 weeks. London are now up to 25th September issuing interviews from the list on the UK forum. Maybe the readiness form being sent 2 weeks before the medical was done has thrown it off course?

I've sent a few emails to London & they're a bit hit n miss with responding, I now send a few emails from the different drop down boxes worded slightly differently & usually get a response from one of them!

I'm on the other end of the scale in delaying my medical till early October but so far everything via London has been pretty efficient so I'd keep chasing them.

Good luck….

That is something that has been going through my mind, but the London guide I read on here said you could submit your readiness forms ahead of your medical provided you had the medical scheduled (which I did), so I thought I was getting ahead of the curve by telling them I was ready for the interview, I just needed the medical prior. I found one member here who said on their profile that London lost their readiness form (how does that happen?!) which delayed them getting their interview. Maybe the same has happened to me. But with no way of checking if they have received it and no way of contacting them other than hoping they answer an email, I am stuck. I'm tempted to submit another readiness form but I don't know if that resets the one you already did.

Starsky,

Thanks for reaching out to me. In my opinion I do not believe that you submitted your readiness form to early. I submitted ours the day that we received the Packet 3 letter. We were a little bit excited and Tim was here on holiday so we did it together. After saying that you still might be having the same issue with London not having the readiness form.

When did you send the email to London? It took them 4 days to respond. Tim requested information using this link http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.htmland selecting option 3 - I would like to know the status of my immigration or fiance visa application. That was when they told us that they had not received our forms. I responded back with all the details of what and when we had sent. When we had not heard back in a few days we were getting antsy so we decided to just fill out another readiness form, a nice gentleman at NVC said that we would probably end up with the same results.

The best assistance that we have had is calling NVC at 603-334-0700. Choose option #2 (I believe, it is a new option for fiance visas at a foreign embassy as it was not there when I first started calling a few weeks ago.) They have been amazing. The big thing that you want to know is if they have associated your DS-160 with your LND case # and can they see your medical results. They have never been able to tell us about the readiness form. Our guess is the readiness form helps them to tie the DS-160 to the case because we have to supply it there. The day after NVC told me London had associated the DS-160 to our case than I called NVC back and there was an interview date and 2 days after that the Packet 4 letter showed up at Tim's house.

I am sorry that you are having to deal with this and best of luck. If I can help any other way just let me know.

Sunya

Sunya

Thanks Sunya. I only sent the email to London this morning, but I've been starting to grow more concerned in the last couple of days. This led to me reading more and more on here and coming to the realisation there may be an issue, but at the very least, it deserved some chasing up from me. I selected the same options you mentioned on the email, and included all pertinent details on the case. Hope I get a reply next week.

I had called NVC previously, who told me that they could see some updates on my case such as the DS-160 being received followed by the medical results received, the latter of which must have been on 18 AUG which was when the last touch occurred. Someone else pointed out in this thread it's only been 8 business days since the last touch, although I did have my medical 6 AUG, so I really thought I would have an update by now in line with others with similar time frames who already have interviews scheduled.

I read this thread which gives estimates of around 6-7 weeks from medical date to interview date for London; that would put me around 17 SEPT/24 SEPT for the interview, but given I've not been issued one yet and I see others here with interviews now into October, that's when I became a bit disheartened that I may have been forgotten. One can't assume that all the September appointments are gone, but if I were to have one in just a few weeks, wouldn't I have been notified by now? You can see where the doubts start to creep in. And seeing everyone's timelines on here is a double edged sword, because it gives you hope and potentially a false sense of entitlement.

Does anyone have a firm idea of how long it normally takes to get assigned an interview after your medical results have been received by the embassy?

These are documents you need for the interview. It's always best to get the Embassy Letter (instructions and what documents are required) from the Embassy that you are processing through. Most require the following:

1040 for tax year 2014

Current pay stubs

Employer letter

Current I-134 with wet signature

We are still waiting for him to receive his passport and visa.

It's been 13 days since he has had his interview.

I am just really starting to get worried, because he is stuck in Guangzhou until he gets his passport and he really only has enough money to eat for only a couple of days and has absolutely no way of getting any money, especially now without his passport.

I don't even know what to do...

I have called the Department of State, but they can't really help, the nvc doesn't know anything and he called the embassy there and they say they can't see anything and for him to just wait until he hears something from them.

I am just getting so worried and wonder how long it takes for this process.
