any updates yet??????

Everything has been so very stressfull.

Here is an update on everything -

He went into the second interview and they questioned him a lot and the consulate stood up like it was going to be over and my fiance asked if he could please look over the chat records. Under the stack of chat records he had the letter from my doctor stating I was pregnant. The consulate took the papers and went through them. Then the consulate then asked him if I was pregnant and he told him yes.

Then the consulate sat down and asked him a lot of questions about how far a long I am, if I had any ultrasounds taken, if we found out if we were having a boy or girl.

Then they told him that they wanted my phone number so they could call me and question me. He didn't have my new number on him, so they told him to go back to the hotel and they will call him. And get my number from him.

They gave him a blue slip that said further information is needed and they will give him a decision by email, but they kept his passport.

They called me and asked me a bunch of questions about if I have any siblings and what their names are, and if they work and what they do for a living. And questioned about where I flew into when I saw my fiance, and who picked us up. And what my fiances apartment looked like. And what floor he stayed on. And questioned me about my previous relationship. And asked why I didn't marry the previous person I was with. They asked me if I was pregnant and how far and if I had any ultrasounds and how many and if I know the sex of the baby and if I have a name picked out. And who watches my children when I'm at work and what time do I go to bed at night.

Then after all these questions she thanked me for my cooperation.

Then she called my fiance back and questioned him some more and told him thank you and that's all the questions.

So now we are waiting to hear the response back from them.

I'm just really hoping it's a good sign that they kept his passport.

I'm really hoping he gets approved. This will devistate us so much if he doesn't. We had already been making plans on our family and everything. And it's hard because my children already call him daddy and want him here so bad.

I told the consulate that my kids really love him. And they talk to him on skype all the time. They call him daddy and tell him that they love him and ask him all the time when he is going to be here to play with them.

It feels like complete torture going through this, and not knowing anything.

I am not sure why all the questioning. I find some of the questions very intrusive, but what choice do you have but to answer. Here is my take; It's good news that they kept is passport, usually means they are leaning toward approval. Next is, if you two answer the same questions that were asked both of you with the same answer, it's usually a sign to the CO that your relationship is legit. I think you saw the "tide" change when the CO found out that you are pregnant. Now he has an obligation to determine the legitimacy of your relationship and if he feels it is from your answers then he will do the right thing and grant your visa. My guess it's going to be approved. It's going to be hard but you just need a little more patience.

The questions were so crazy, and so many many different questions.

All of our answers matched. We talk all the time and he knows everything about me.

Thank you so much for your input.

I have just been so stressed by all of this.

Once he is approved, everything will be worth it all.. Just having him finally here and we can start our lives together.

I just want to give another quick update:

I have been talking more to my fiance about the interview he had and asked if they said anything when they took his passport.

He told me that the guy had told him that he wanted his passport because if everything checks out good when they call me, then they will just give him the visa.

It makes me feel a little bit better. But it's still stressful not knowing for sure.

I know with everyone who is getting ready to go to an interview, just make sure you know everything about your fiance and their family. You never know what type of questions they will ask.

I hope I will have good news here soon that he has his visa.

Thank you, TandL. :)

I hope you hear good news soon! Them keeping his passport is a good thing but I certainly understand how you feel. Don't get yourself stressed too much as it might affect your baby.
