terrible, terrible, terrible!! just can't believe this is happening! it makes no sense considering how many MAY applications have already been processed...like...hellooooo USCIS do you not still see all the outstanding APRIL applications?????????????

did you ever end up contacting congress? i know someone on here did, right? i wonder what the outcome was!

best of luck! hopefully you'll get the response you're looking for BEFORE your trip!

Hi Shelly, it was my fiance who contacted the Congress but we haven't heard anything yet. We even contacted the CIS ombudsman Service but they said we won't hear anything within 45 days.

There was a May filer who submitted their petition twice. They didnt hear anything on their first petition and it went over 150 days. And when they contacted the office, they were advised to resubmit their petition because if it hits 150 days without decision, it just basically expired. We don't want that to happen to us.

I wonder if I should use the 'case inquiry' form. It says not to submit it if it's still within the "processing timeframe"... https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do;jsessionid=abcM5s-IZDCDO51AZWQ5u?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt

I'm afraid that if I bother them with it, they'll delay the case even further :(

So I called. Little success. First I asked why my case isn't in the automated system whenever I check it online. The first rep said it's been over two months and that I should see something by now. He told me he'd get me on the line to an officer. So, I waited. USCIS called, waited some more, then got on the phone with an officer I suppose.... I told him my info and he told me he'd connect me to an "official". After a minute, the same guy picked up and asked more info. Then he told me the case is still pending, and that if I go check the website, the wait is five months. I told him I understood, but on VisaJouney, most people with my NOA1 date have received their NOA2 from the California Center. He said he does this everyday for a living and that no one is approved in 30 days.... I corrected him and said if you look on VisaJourney, most people from CSC with my NOA1 date HAVE GOTTEN APPROVED! Frustrated, he told me they need more time, there is nothing they could do. I told him I will call everyday until this is resolved. Then he hung up.

Yeah, I told him there was no excuse why some are waiting 3 weeks and others 3 months. I said my case is straight forward, no criminal background, no marriages, I'm 26, she's 25, and nothing out of the ordinary. There is no excuse why my case isn't even in the automated system. I wasn't letting that guy feed me bullshit, we are too smart for that. And I will call frequently, I will be a thorn at their side.

He hung up on you? Wow! What a worse customer service they have... We deserve to know whats going on. It feels like they're tripping on us or something.

My fiance called too. But didnt get anything from them. We understand that they probably need more time but they need to handle the situation in a more appropriate way.

Did the guy at least seem like he was actually looking for your petition, or did he just flat-out dismiss you based on the time you said you filed... I've (luckily) been a bit more busy with work this week, so less time to worry about the K1. Nowadays I only think about it for five hours a day as opposed to the usual 10.

I got an RFE last night, which finally means they have looked at my case. I don't know what for but i was expecting it, my fiance is a Syrian refugee, so it complicates our situation big time! But I am excited the process is moving. Good luck to you all!

Good for you, ljrdali. I say an RFE is a good thing at this moment. I hope it is something easy so you can submit it as soon as possible. your date is kinda close with ours. I hope we will hear something soon. ???
