Hello everyone,

  • My Chilean husband and I were married in January 2014.
  • I filed my 2013 taxes as single.
  • We moved to the US in February 2015 (CR-1)
  • All our accounts are joint in Chile and in the US.
  • I was under the foreign income cap (sadly) so I never had to pay taxes, only file.

When we file jointly for 2014, do we need to include my husband's foreign earned income as well as my foreign earned income?

Is it better to file married filing jointly or married filing separately? (We didn't make very much money last year)

Any advice would be great! Thanks in advance.
