I received the actual card by mail today.

Last Wednesday i did receive an email notification that they sent the card and today I got another email telling me that the card has been delivered. So I went to check my mailbox and indeed the card was inside.

Congratulations to all who currently receiving their EAD/AP

When I received my combo card (EAD/AP), I thought I could travel in Canada. We are only 2 hrs away, however Canadian boarder acknowledge Greencard only. My perception of having AP will enable you to go out of US territory and travel in a different country. But I was wrong, AP will only allow you to travel to your Country of Origin and back to US.

Just want to let you know guys, after my interview yesterday, I got an offer letter today (on a Saturday). I feel so blessed, after almost felt like giving up. 2 weeks after I got my EAD card, I finally got a job.

Don't lose hope guys! I had offered a job before but lose it because of the delayed EAD. After getting my EAD, I went to 4 interviews and felt like giving up. But now finally got it.

To God be the Glory! Goodluck to those looking for jobs.. You will get it soon :) Happy weekend! Never ever lose confidence! More so Hope!

You can travel anywhere. Whether you get into the country you're going depends (logically) on your passport*, not your AP. Your AP only determines whether you're allowed back into the US.

So if your passport/citizenship is from a country that needs a visa to enter Canada (or whatever country you want to enter), you'll still need a visa.

( * only exception to this is that once you have a green card, Canada (and I think Mexico) let you into the country without needing a visa)

I received the notice of approval (06/07/2015) for EAD/AP in the mail yesterday.

But no information about mailing the card. I am still hoping that it won't take too long for the card to arrive.

I don't think you are only allowed to travel to your home country.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

That makes the most sense!

You're allowed to travel anywhere you want with the EAD/ap. there are no restrictions. However, you maybe need a reason to travel. I'm okay for multiple entries.

I don't know how the process works exactly, but I cannot remember seeing a so how restriction. and reading this forum have read that not many have had issues with travel if you fit within normal guidelines of not abandoning your status

I received my approval two Thursdays ago, and still nothing, that same day I checked my online status and it was still the same since the beggining, it changed to "your EAD has been approved" last Tuesday. Last Thursday I checked my status again and it said; "your card has been mailed" so I'm expecting it tomorrow or the next day after tomorrow, so around 10 work days.
