So I called USCIS today to see if I could get an update. The woman on the phone still could not tell me anything about my RFE that I sent back roughly a month ago but she did say that once they receive the RFE your case starts over from day one and that I shouldn't expect an EAD card for at least another month. Bummer, right? Well right after I got off the phone I decided to check the mail and sure enough my EAD approval letter was there. How horribly organized must USCIS be if they can't even properly document cases so that when someone calls for an update they're not fed wrong information?

AOS received 4/11/15

Biometrics 5/5/15

RFE 5/11/15

RFE response 5/28/15

EAD approval letter 6/29/15

I called USCIS for the 4th time regarding NOT RECEIVING my Biometrics letter appointment..I wanted to talk to a Tier 2 officer but 10 days ago I was rudely told u can't callback until July 6..they have 30 days to get back to me...So I DID call yesterday and INSISTED AGAIN to speak to a Tier 2...so after reviewing my notes they have she said 30 days weren't up but she will transfer me anyways...Once explaining my inquiry he informed me I MISSED my Biometrics app..it was LAST FRIDAY...UGHHH...The original letter was mailed to me May 15..returned to them as "UNDELIVERABLE" back on May 21...that letter has been sitting there since...I have gotten other mail from them but for some ungodly reason THAT one was "undeliverable"....The officer doesn't understand why they wouldn't have transfered me after my first call..So now he expedited a request for a new app..can take 2 more weeks for a DATE....I'm a April 22nd filer...I'm soooooo frustrated

I am sorry that you missed your biometrics appointment. It was good that you called yesterday and was able to speak to a Tier 2 officer. It is really frustrating when you are waiting for something and then not receiving it! I'm glad they were able to tell you what happened to your appointment and that they are doing something about it. Hopefully you'll get your biometrics appointment soon and will be able to receive it and that the process will move faster after that. :)

Our husbands who are patient are very helpful during this process. My husband doesn't even ask about it unless I update him. :) It's not that he doesn't care. He just knows something will come in the mail and just waiting calmly. When it will be is what I am anxious about. :) I understand your frustration, but yes let's try to enjoy our "vacation." :)

Good things come to those who wait is also what I tell my wife. She has become more patient with the AOS/EAD/AP process since our K-1/K-2 visa case was wrapped up in late January. I'm sure you will receive a notice soon and the process will go as seamless possible! :)

Hang in there, all the best.
