April 2015 AOS filers

Hello everyone,

I filed for AOS/EAD/AP on March 30th. Date on NOAs is April 2nd. I went to do my biometrics on April but nothing has changed online concerning my EAD and AP.

Today is day 77 since they received my applications. Should I call? Can anyone point me to where they say that you can call after 75 days? And to the phone number?

Buff, I'm not in a real hurry, but I really need to know if I'm getting my EAD before the end of June as I thought.

You and I have the exact same timeline. I am here still waiting. I downloaded the Case Tracker App through my Iphone and the last three days I have been getting alerts saying that they have received my fingerprint fee for all my applications. Weird since we finished biometrics on April 30th. I think the case tracker app linked to the USCIS tracker is messed up. At this point I am just checking my mail on a daily basis hoping that I get some sort of notification soon.

Yes, I'm trying not to obsess over this and not to check the mail every 30 minutes ;P But I'm also tired of waiting, so maybe I call them later, although I don't know if they will say anything.

I am in FLORIDA and I was able to switch my Canadian license over to American license no problem but I do have to wait for my AOS before I can change to my married name

It depends on your state. Each state has different requirements for when and how long they'll give you a license for. Do a search on here for your state and DL and you should find some threads about it.

I'm having a really hard time understanding why it's taking sooo long for my Biometrics app letter...I filed April 22..they received and cashed my cheque April 27...they said to contact them by May 27 IF I HAVENT received my appointment letterI called them about my letter that I haven't received on May 28th they sent me a reply on June 9th and told me another letter will be reissued and I have to wait another 30 days for my biometrics appointment letter for the second time and here we are June 16th and I have yet to receive my second biometric appointment I don't want to bother them but I feel like I'm entitled to call them again I'm just getting tired of waiting and get no answers

How frustrating. I don't think you should ever worry about bothering them with your call, IMO. I say go for it and see if they have at least issued your bio letter. And even if they can't tell you anything different, at least you'll know. Did you get the June 9th reply in the mail? If so, hopefully that means the correspondence is being delivered correctly now. Maybe make an infopass appointment, if you are not too far away from your local office?

Apparently the mail correspondence seems to be working just fine - the online part, not so much.

I still haven't heard anything from USCIS - and on the email they replied after I called they never gave me any time frame, they just said they will let me know once they make a decision or they send some other notice of action.

In the meantime, I have a job interview tomorrow.... Hopefully I get my EAD soon and they actually hire me. We will see.

Dear April AOS filers!

Can anyone who applied for expedite on their AP or EAD shine some light on what happened next?

We applied for AOS for my husband in May and requested to expedite his AP so he can travel to Australia for work right after his biometrics were done (June 3). Last weekend we faxed in the evidence of severe financial loss as requested.

Its been 3 days since we faxed everything and I am worried because I see no evidence on USCIS web site saying that they got the docs. I called USCIS today and they told me they cannot verify whether they even got the fax.

I am ok with waiting ( still 2 weeks until the trip and we will be abroad 2 more weeks, so we can have it FEDEX'd to Australia), but I am just concerned they never got it or it ended up in wrong file ;( I also tried to schedule Info Pass but no matter which option I try I get that appointments are currently unavailable (I am in OC, Ca so I guess they are overloaded).

Any info on your experiences (did you get text or any update online or just letter in the mail????) would be appreciated!
