Hello everyone,

My wife/daughter received their Welcome Notices in the mail today. Still no Combo Card for my wife but just thought I'd provide an update on that one too although it's pointless by now LOL!

Have a great week and hope to hear about some more good news from fellow April filers before the weekend. :)

Congrats!

Here we are 4+ months post application for AOS, Haven't heard anything from USCIS since June 30, I made a inquiry about it, I received a TEXT message that said my inquiry was completed but no idea what that outcome was so I sit and wait patiently as per my husband's request..today I finally called USCIS to inquire... I was told they are still processing back to Dec 2014 AOS applications . .I still had at LEAST 4 months wait .. UGHH.... I ASKED to speak to a TIER 2 agent and he denied me and told me to call back in "4 MONTHS ".....SERIOUSLY FRUSTRATED ...I need some guidance...

Hey guys, I received my green card and my husband and I are planning on traveling out of the country but a friend is telling us that I need a travel document. I've never heard anything so ridiculous before. Is it true? I thought you could travel with the green card since I'm a resident now. Does anyone know? Can't call uscis since it's sunday

I am doing a lot of reading too. A greencard holder doesn't guarantee an entry to a different country aside from your Country of Origin. You have to check the visa requirements on the country where you want to travel. Not unless we become USC then we can travel anywhere without visa restriction.

You are not alone. I also have the same sentiments. The last update I received about my AOS was June 2. Since then… nothing…. I already set my mind for the delays. Getting more upset and frustrated doesn't help. I feel it too but I am trying to tell myself it won't change anything if I fret I might get nervous breakdown if I will =:0

Yes, I've seen different threads that there are 2014 files that doesn't receive theirs too. The only thing I don't understand why there are some April 2015 filers got their Interview Appointments and the rest don't….. sigh…..

Good Afternoon fellow April filers,

I had my interview today, luckily my attorney´s office is right next to the UCIS building, so we just walked together from there.

We arrived at time, passed through security and sat in the waiting area for about maybe 2 minutes until they called out my name. My attorney had previosuly covered the most important questions they might ask us, so we felt pretty optimistic.

The USCIS officer that interviewed us was very nice and made us feel comfortable with her outgoing personality. She was always smiling, complimented on how organized we had all our documents and took her time to look at all our 60 + printed pictures!

Since my wife and I have been married for 4 years she was more laid back and only asked for our DOB, our full names, home address, where we met, where I worked and that´s pretty much it.

In 10 minutes she had already made the decision to approve my green card and stamped my passport!

I am proud to say that as of today, I am a Legal Permanent Resident.

Now I just have to wait for my actual green card to arrive in the mail.

Wishing everyone the best of luck in this long process, it is very well worth it in the end. :joy:

We actually wanted to travel to my country. We knew it didn't make sense but asked just in case though we knew it was ridiculous.

I'm not too sure but if it don't get any answers, you can ask a lawyer and just because they told you 5 months doesn't mean it will take that long. Keep your head up, everything will be ok. If you want, type question on Avvo.com. It's free and a lawyer will answer you. Best of luck

Thanks for your good wishes. I talked to a lawyer and told me is not a problem for her to apply for a visa. So, she will apply, and hopefully we can reunite soon :)
