Yes, cases do get approved. Mine was approved in 2009. It took 2 and half years. I was the first American to be approved in the Adam Walsh act. There is allot that must be done. Read my posts and time line.

My case was approved after 1 month. I was married to my fiancee 2 weeks ago. We just filed AOS yesterday. We were to gether for 1.5 years in long distance relationship. I fall under category of being lied to by my ex girlfriend 17 years ago about her age. I am no longer RSO. To be exact, this is my 2nd AWA petition approved. My ex fiancee ended our long distance relationship of 3.5 years after deciding not go to interview and meeting a rich older man from New York. I did not have high priced attorney. My main evidence was my past probation officer saying i wasnt a threat and court saying i was arrested for ignorance of the law. I was not required any counseling. All individuals are different. Most important is honesty and being upfront.
