I am adjusting from family-based category and my application was accepted by USCIS on 10th April. But then i got an RFE on 30th May that said all further processing is suspended till they receive my response. They received my response on 17th June. Yesterday (23 July) my EAD card went under production. 10th April to 30th May = 50 days 17th June - 23 July = 36 days Total = 86 days (approx). So i guess time did stop from RFE sent till RFE submitted.

@jamifahad , you are right they stopped the process on the day RFE was produced, tho my 765 was approved on jul 23, according to the USCIS site!!, yet to receive the docs, good luck to you. keep us posted.

I had my interview yesterday and this morning I got the approval email from USCIS!

The interview was very straight forward. The officer just asked me the questions from the application form. He didn't ask my husband anything. Then, we gave him documents like bills, insurance, etc. And that was pretty much it!

Good luck to everyone in this group! Hope you get an easy going officer for your interview as well!

Hello! Great news- we had our interview today and got approved on the spot! I'm so so happy and excited and relieved that it's over! Here are some interview details:

We got there (Los Angeles) an hour early, and were called in pretty much on time (8.45am). The interviewer was very serious but nice. We had to give him our drivers licenses, passports etc, and then take the oath. He asked about why I had come to the US in the first place, then about the other visas I've had. He asked where we met, and the month we got serious, and the month we moved in, and he wrote it all down. Why did it take us so long to get married (7 years), and why our parents didn't attend the ceremony. He then started to loosen up a bit-joked about 'is this you?' in all the passport photos, and on my EAD. OH- he also said "there are a lot of people, why chose this guy?", which was kind of fun to answer!

He then collected all of our joint documents, and flights together to Australia and added to the file. We didn't show him any of our photo album at all! He then went through our ENTIRE application, page by page, kind of as if he was looking for something? Asked me address, social, phone number, all the 'no' questions (are you a communist etc). But then just wrote some more stuff on paper, photocopied our drivers licenses, and approved us. Handed me a piece of paper that said "Congratulations..etc". Said to expect the green card in three weeks.

I think it took about twenty to thirty minutes? It was nerve racking, but relatively painless. I do have to say though- I was EXTREMELY organized in my original application, thanks to Visa Journey. Then I was super organized going in this morning, and we even practiced questions together- just to get in the feeling of answering concisely.

Phew! It feels great to be done! Best of luck to everyone else- the wait is worth it!!!

Cheers.

Hi guys quick update I just got off the phone with a Uscis officer that I ask to be transferred to ...

He was nice I just asked him that I wanted to know a better status of my case ....if it was ready to be schedule for an interview or not ? Because nothing on my case had been updated since my fingerprint was received... He then ask me if I had called before and I said yes .... He then said to hold off for a second to look for my case and ask if I had received anything in the mail telling me what do next because he said my case has been ready for an interview since June 9th(which doesn't show online) but for some reason it was still in the National benefit center ... I answer No I didn't received anything....he then said he didn't know why and that he was going to transfered it to my Local office ! And also said there going to send a letter to tell me whats next!!! (interview in hoping) he said if I don't received anything in the mail by August 26 to give them a call to follow up!

I'm glad he told me that ! And the fact that my case has been ready since June 9th !!! It's weird how he didn't why my case hasent been transfered !? Has anyone experince anything similar ? Or heard from someone ?
