Excited for all of you getting EAD and interview dates!!

Still no update for me, on anything. Applied April 6. RFE sent back May 20. Is there anyone whose paperwork has gone through the National Benefits Center and has gotten updates?

I've been told both by two different customer service reps - that they count the 75 days from the date things were filed regardless of the RFE AND that it's counted from RFE reply date. I'd be interested too to hear what others have actually experienced.

I'm in Utah too and it took pretty long to get EAD.

Here is my timeline.(AOS from F-1 visa)

04/03/2015: mailed package to Chicago Lockbox

04/21/2015: case received by USCIS and received text/e-mail notices

05/02/2015: received biometrics appointment notice

05/11/2015: biometrics completed

07/10/2015: received EAD card mailed notification

07/14/2015: received EAD card in mail

I- 485 is still “Fee Received”

I-130 is still “Received”

I want to pay in state tuition fee too. Can you do that with AOS pending status with EAD card?

We're pretty much identical it seems. F-1 student visa to AOS, with similar dates. And I'm was hoping to get in state tuition for this fall. I was told by the admissions office that I can't claim it unless I have the green card in hand, which isn't going to happen in the next six weeks, since I don't even have my EAD yet. I don't know what school you're hoping to get in state at, but that's how it works at U of U. Do you know what center your paperwork was dealt with after the Chicago Lockbox? ** EDIT: oops, saw you're at the National Benefits Center.

YES we do! :D

NBC seems very slow and Salt Lake local office seems slow too.

Have you requested "Approaching regulatory timeframe service request" for your EAD?

My EAD was slow so I called USCIS and requested that.

After a week, I received the letter with confirmed day for EAD.

I hope we can get the green card ASAP. I will keep updating my timeline here.

I felt like getting an RFE delayed my EAD. The sooner you respond, the better.

Check this link:

http://www.uscis.gov/forms/tip-sheet-employment-authorization-applications-pending-more-75-days

The 3rd scenario is where we fall into: EAD is based on a pending I-485, so yes, the clock stops when they send out an RFE. Then as soon as they receive our response, the clock restarts.

04/02/2015: AOS (1-130, I-131, I-485, I-765) package sent to Chicago Lockbox
04/07/2015: Day 0: AOS package accepted

04/09/2015: Day 2: AOS package was routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center

04/10/2015: Day 3: Checks cashed

04/14/2015: Day 7: Hard copies of NOA received for all the forms

04/17/2015: Day 10: Received biometrics appointment for 04/28

04/28/2015: Day 21: Biometrics complete

05/01/2015: Day 24: RFE received

05/11/2015: Day 34: RFE response sent

06/02/2015: Day 56: I-485 case is ready to be scheduled for an interview

07/02/2015: Day 86: Received EAD approval letter in mail

07/16/2015: Day 100: Received EAD-AP combo card in mail

Congrats to everyone who got EAD/interview!

Just wanted to give you guys my experience cause this forum helped me a lot going through this very stressful situation!

My NOA was 4/28/2015 and EAD was approved on 7/7. Still haven't received approval notice or the acutal EAD card cause I just moved a week ago. I've submitted online address change form but I called uscis today and just found out that it was actually never updated on their system. But it got all cleared now and the representative said I should receive my EAD and interview notice real soon!

Another problem I had was my new job started today but I had no ead card with me. The representative said I am legally allowed to work in the United States and even gave me the expiration date of my EAD. And he told me that my employer should be able to e-verify my work authorization. I went to sign my papers today (including I-9) and it all worked out just fine! (But I already had social security number from OPT) My employer never even asked me to show them any

Now just waiting for my EAD card and interview!

Hope this helps in any way for you guys :)

Good luck everyone!

Just get my EAD on the mail today!!!

Interview tomorrow!!!! Very exited!!!

Congrats, alem614! That's exciting :)

Just got an email from USCIS - there's another RFE for me on its way in the mail. Seems strange for them to request more evidence this late in the game?
