Thanks! :)

The interview went very smoothly, we were joking around pretty much all the time. What can I say, my husband is a charmer :)

The officer lady was mostly interested in our joint lease, insurance (car, life) and bank documents. Travel - not so much. We had maybe 20 photos printed out (wedding, family events, us + friends), she looked through all of them and kept a few.

She asked how we met, who proposed and how, why I decided to marry my husband of all the people, and that's pretty much it.

Then we waited outside for 15 minutes or so while she was doing the background check, after which my GC got approved.

Wow, congratulations Fantaji! That's so great!

Hello everyone,

It looks like people who applied in April starting to get their EADs approved.

In my case, I applied I-130, I-485 & I-765 in April 2015.
NOA - 04/28/2015
Biometrics done on 05/21/2015
EAD still pending as of today day 76

I have a job offer starting 7/20 but my EAD hasn't been approved yet. I already pushed my start date back once, so it would be my last chance to work there. My question is, should I expedite my case? or just wait for it? I read somewhere that it could take a long time. I can't figure out which way is better for me..
Any comments would be appreciated!

Thanks :)

USCIS calculates date starting when they issued a receipt for I-765. The first question I was asked when I called them up was what was the receipt date, they even calculated the number of days it had been. Since your NOA is 04/28/2015, today will be day 71 according to their records.

Will you be able to get a letter from your employer stating that you've been offered a job over there?

To get EAD expedited, you have to fall under one of the criteria mentioned on the USCIS website:

http://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria

07/19/2015 will be day 82 for you.

Based on the recent responses by April filers, we received our approval letters between day 80 and day 90.

I've yet to receive the EAD and it has been 6 days after the approval letter.

If I were you, I'd try to get a letter from employer - > If I can -> Then I'd expedite the EAD and also call USCIS after day 76. If I can't get the letter, then I'd just wait it out and probably look for another job. Good luck
