Hello everyone,

I just got good news. I got in the mail today a I-797 saying my employment authorization request and advance parole request have been approved!!!

I filed April 13 and it was approved June 25.

I have to start job hunting lol

Me too! The letter said my EAD is approved, and I should receive the card soon. ALSO- I received a letter stating my interview date! It's set for July 30th. I'm just so excited to finally have some movement!

The waiting is hard, but it's all so worth it in the end.

Day 0- April 6th, 2015- Mailed AOS to Chicago Lockbox (Form I-130, I-485, I-131, I-765)

Day 2- April 8th, 2015- Package recieved

Day 8- April 14th, 2015- E-notifications- 12 emails and 12 texts "Your case was received". Checks cashed.

Day 12- April 18th, 2015- Hard copies of "Notice Of Action" for all 4 forms came in mail.

Day 26- May 2nd, 2015- Biometrics notice received in the mail, appointment for May 12th.

Day 28- May 4th, 2015- Successful Biometrics walk in completed.

Day 80- June 29th, 2015- Received letter stating EAD approved, and interview for July 30th. Yay!

Day 92- July 15th, 2015- Received EAD combo card in the mail.

Day 107- July 30th, 2015- Interview, approved on the spot!!!

The waiting is hard, but it's all so worth it in the end.

in my opinion, getting the interview date is far better than just receiving the EAD card because you still have to wait almost 3weeks for social security card before you can start working....

I thought u could just get the ss number and have them send u the card when its ready? Meanwhile i havent heard anything abt ead or interview. Depressed is my status right now. Just hoping something shows up very soon. Its 76days.

Took me 84 days to get my EAD approved. Just hang in there.. not much longer until you hear from them. Once I got approved, I had my card in hand 4 days later.

6/05/17 NOA1 received.  (Dated 6/1/2017)

6/17/17 NOA2 received.  Biometrics Appt. on 6/27

6/27/17 Biometrics completed

you can visit the SSA office, a few days after you apply to get the SSN thats all you need to apply for jobs not the actual card.

I applied last week Monday. They told me they don't give out SSN that I should wait till the actual SScard is mailed to me.
